Sree Narayana College of Education is the premier teacher. The college that is affiliated to Pondicherry University follows the systematic admission process to choose the best eligible candidates for its B.Ed program. Sree Narayana College of Education follows the admission process framed according to the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for quality outcomes in teacher education.

The college usually starts the admission process for the session at least two to three months before the session starts.

Criteria used for admissions: Eligibility criteria used for Sree Narayana College of Education admission for the B.Ed courses undertaken is as per NCTE prescribed guidelines. Minimum requirement of the applicants eligible to apply for admissions will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and their result obtained at recognized university. Admission procedure is also open based on passing marks acquired in the concerned examination conducted by the organization.

Application Procedure

Sree Narayana College of Education, Mahe follows the following procedure to make the applications:

1. Admission Notification: The college puts up its notification announcing the start of the admission process on its official website and other media sources.

2. Application Form: The candidates have to obtain the application form, which can be downloaded from the college website or obtained in person from the college office.

3. Document Submission: Along with the filled-in application form, the candidate has to submit all other documents like:

• Marks sheets of the qualifying examination (Bachelor's degree)
• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate, if applicable
• Caste Certificate (for candidates applying in the reserved category)
• Other relevant certificates as specified by the college

4. Entrance Examination: Candidates may be required to sit for an entrance examination as per the policy of Puducherry U.T. Administration and Pondicherry University, if applicable.

5. Merit List: The college makes a merit list based on marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test.

6. Counselling and Admission: Students short-listed are called up for counselling. In the counseling process, candidates are given freedom to exercise choices from the list of subjects available at that rank.

7. Fee payment: Selected students are asked to pay the tuition fees prescribed in order to finalize admission.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is the only course offered by Sree Narayana College of Education, Mahe. Admission to B.Ed is strictly based on merit, considering the marks scored in the qualifying examination. The college has an approved intake of 100 seats for the B.Ed program. Admission to the B.Ed course shall also depend upon entrance examination or any other selection process as adopted by the policy of the Puducherry U.T. Administration and Pondicherry University.
