Sree Narayana College of Teacher Education was set up in Kozhikode in 2001 and today it is one of the most widely recognized institutions imparting education. This affiliated college is located in Chelannur, Kozhikode – Kerala and has been affiliated by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It is located in a 5.53 acre space comprises of many buildings and is especially beneficial for students aiming for a teaching profession. Sree Narayana College of Teacher Education offers two full-time courses: offered programmes include a Bachelor of Education Studies (B.Ed) programme and a Master of Education Studies (M.Ed) programme. Both programmes take two years to complete and has an approved capacity of 50 students for each course offering will make a total of 100. These programmes and courses are primarily aimed at preparing students with the necessary knowledge and skills and actual practice in education for a successful work at school.

Ed programme has a little more stringent selection method that entails the marks obtain in the entrance examination or that in the qualifying examination or any other selection criterion as deemed fit by the policy makers of the state, university or UT concerned. This helps in making sure that right candidates with passion and competency in specific educational fields are hired on the important training positions.
