Sree Vivekananda College of Teacher Education, Malappuram: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

It was established in the year 2005. Kerala University, India, recognized this institution. Sree Vivekananda College of Teacher Education, Malappuram, is a Co-education, NCTE-approved institution that runs programs in teacher education. Located on a campus of 5.24 acres, it runs three full-time courses having a total enrollment of 198 students and faculty of 24. The institute undertakes special education for teachers at elementary, secondary, and higher levels.

Sree Vivekananda College of Teacher Education offers a variety of facilities to help with students' learning and development. A state-of-the-art library of the campus is a storehouse of knowledge for students and staff. This health center, equipped with first-aid facilities on campus, takes care of the well-being of the people who form its community. A gym and sports facilities take care of the physical fitness of individuals. It keeps pace with modern IT infrastructural facilities supporting digital learning. The auditorium houses numerous seminars and events, which go to create an academically active environment. A canteen and a convenience store cater to the daily needs, and there is enough parking space for faculty, staff, and students. Of special significance, it is worth mentioning that this college offers a girls' hostel to allow safe lodging of female students coming from places far from the institution.

There are three full-time teacher education courses in Sree Vivekananda College of Teacher Education: three years full-time B.Ed, M.Ed two-year fulltime degree, and D.El.Ed one-year integrated diploma. 

Merit is the basis of the admission process to Sree Vivekananda College of Teacher Education. It takes into account the marks gained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. For B.Ed, admissions are made strictly on the basis of the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination or entrance examination or even other selection process in case it has been mentioned by the state government or university. Similarly, the same pattern is followed for the M.Ed program. It has a performance-based admission policy for the candidates in terms of a qualifying examination and entrance test. Eligibility for D.El.Ed admission is also based on merit, where marks from qualifying exams or entrance tests are considered as per the policies of the state government or UT administrations.
