Sri Aurobindo College (Evening) was established in 1984 and has completed 40 years of growth and achievements. The college is named after Sri Aurobindo Ghose, who was born on 15 August 1872 in Kolkata. In 2017-18, Sri Aurobindo College (Evening) was ranked among the top 150 Higher Education Institutions by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry for Human Resource Development. In 1988, the college started admitting women students.
Initially, it offered courses in BA. (Pass) and B.Com. (Pass), but later introduced courses in B.Com (Hons.), BA. (Hons.) Hindi, BA (Hons.) Applied Psychology, BA. (Hons.) English, and BA (Hons.) Insfrastructure is ok not too good not too bad. There are 1 big building and other are just one floor building and atleast 100 classes. The clasrrom are okayish , The benches are ok but overall insfrastructure is ok.
This college does not have all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equipment. This college doesn't have any playground. The campus includes a cafeteria that serves hygienic and affordable food.
