Sri GS Rao Teacher Training Institute, Tallapudi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Founded in 2007, Sri GS Rao Teacher Training Institute is located in Tallapudi, Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college got its approval from NCTE, New Delhi, for maintaining quality standards in teacher education. On a compact 5.03-acre campus, the setting will be conducive for aspiring educators. Currently, with 58 students enrolled and a 13-strong faculty, the student-to-teacher ratio is most favorable for attention and guidance. 

It has all necessary facilities to assist in the educational journey of the students. The library is a storehouse of valuable resources, covering a wide range of educational materials and literature. The theoretical inputs are put into practice through practical experience in the departmental laboratories. Sports facilities within the college premises provide for physical fitness and build team spirit for all-round development. A very excellent infrastructure in IT is present to prepare future students to meet the digital transformations in education. 

Presently, Sri GS Rao Teacher Training Institute is offering only one main course, D.El.Ed. This is a two-year full-time course where the future elementary school teachers are properly trained. The sanctioned intake of the institution is 50 students, and every year it admits only a limited number of students into the program. 

The admissions in Sri GS Rao Teacher Training Institute are based on a merit basis, as laid down in the policies by the state government of Andhra Pradesh. The prospective students shall be selected on the basis of their qualifying examination performance, of a higher secondary or any other equivalent examination. Entrance examinations or other selection processes shall be conducted in some cases, as per the prevalent state policies. This will ensure that only motivated and capable candidates are taken up for the teaching profession.
