The college have all the necessary infrastructure and facilities like it has gym, have a nice and big auditorium, clean laboratories. The college canteen is good too. There are variety of foods and is clean.
I am studying B.com(Hons.). I have an interest in the finance line. The quality is also good as what the teachers teaches are detailed. I think I am ready for the job as it is related to what I am studying.
The placement quality is also good. They were doing their best so that students get their placement. About 70-80 % students were placed. Highest salary package offered was about 10 lakhs and the average was between 3-4 lakhs.
The cost of my course per year was around 28000 per year. I feel that it is my money's worth because the teaching quality was good. I get to learn more about the field I am interested in and the facilities were good too.
Students can engage themselves in many activities like there are many societies for students like music, sports, finance etc. The location is safe as it is in the central location and it can handle emergencies.
My college has been equipped with every necessary facility needed for a comfortable studying environment including A/C's in every classrooms, a library extending upto 3 floors, 3 different grounds including one for football one for tennis and one for basketball. The college area has wifi facility with good connection and 2 computer labs accessible to everyone. Recently a new medical room has also been inaugurated on the request of some students and many more things can be seen by being there.
Our college being a commerce focusing college offer great deal of courses in the field with teachers of great experience and knowledge in their respective fields, apart from that diffrent courses have been offered for science as well as arts students. Bcom and bms and BSC (computer science) has always been the core strength of our college so if you are a candidate of one of these courses GGS would be great option for you.
Speaking from personal experience placements are pretty good in this college i personally have secured a good job in big 4 company the placement cell is very active to bring big company for college placements as well as great internship programs are carried throughout the year.
GGS is rather Expensive when compared to different colleges of DU. But in my experience considering the great infrastructure and the level of faculty the college offers in exchange its worth it. Also there are fees reimbursement programs in the college more info can be taken from college website.
Campus life is exciting throughout the year. Sometimes we are going on college trips another time you are attending college societies events every festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm with enough focus on studies campus life is much more vast than just the books.
For every student his/her college is special with their sweet memories in their college just as much GGS is very special to me getting so much from this place it gave me friends, mentorship, experiences for lifetime and a valuable headstart for the future.
As compared to other DU colleges, the college infrastructure is very good, there are many spacious class rooms and all class rooms are air conditioned. The library has ample room and content for students. And washrooms are functional, clean and sanitised. Apart from that pads are kept available in every girl's washroom in case of an emergency.
The methods of teaching have gotten improved and they are better in my third year than how they were in my first year. However the college still lacks a larger faculty as that is a requirement. Other than that the faculty are open to take doubts and healthy discussions are promoted within classes.
Avg Salary offered for class of 2023, was around 5-7 lakhs. Big Name companies like, Bain, Deloitte, EY, Dalberg all were there to place students. The process is very streamlined and the placement cell of the college is very efficient and responsive.
My course costed me 45k a year, which is not much when you compare to private universities but in DU it's a big amount. However, the college tries to provide as wide of an exposure that they can. The college societies have become very strong in their fields and that has helped them to leverage it to bring more influential and impactful personalities for visits, events, seminars.
Campus life is happening, there are spots like Beggars points and richers Point which are the hubs for students to hang out and relax. Other than that the proximity to metro and NSP makes life outside college interesting as well.
Yes my college does have required infrastructure necessary for teaching like smartboards.Earlier there were no air conditioner in the classrooms but after request from students air conditioner were installed in all classrooms. There is wifi facility also available for students.
I have done bachelors of management studies from my college. Some teachers are really good where as some are not so its difficult to say about quality of teaching ,however the overall quality of teaching was satisfactory.
Overall placements of the college is good. There was a company offering the highest package of 36 LPA however no student was able to crack its interview. The average package of the college went to 5.5 LPA which is decent in terms of undergraduation and a good number of students got placed.
Overall the college is good in terms of all the aspects.Just make sure you do decent internships over 3 years so that your chance of getting selected in placements in final year increases.
This college is newly built than most of the North Campus Colleges and hence has better and more modern infrastructure. The classrooms are air-conditioned, desks well maintained, and the washrooms, are mostly clean(there are some exceptions). The library is one of the bests I have seen as it is so well-maintained with a proper seating area. The collection of books is also good. There is WiFi but the speed is usually very slow. This college does have a serious network problem which is a drawback.
I entered Delhi University with a perception that teachers are as less interested in teaching as students are in studying. But, the faculty of the college is highly professional, experienced, and responsible. Cancellation of classes is very common at DU and this college is no exception. But the teachers here will make sure that your syllabus is completed comprehensively on time. They are very helpful and serious about the course. One of our teachers checks our homework daily, can you believe it!
The placement cell of this college leaves no stone unturned to bring the best internships, seminars, and job opportunities. Major companies would be visiting the campus but the package would depend on the student. Yes, you wouldn't be getting a 40Lpa package but you can grab a decent package for starters(Check the placement report on the website for figures). Many of the ex-students of this college work in amazing companies with impressive profiles, but it will take time.
The fee of this college is pretty high compared to other DU colleges but I found it justified. The infrastructure is great, the faculty is impressive, and college societies are very active. The placement percentage is impressive with students getting decent packages. The auditorium is huge, well-maintained, and air-conditioned with comfy seats. The laboratories are fully equipped. Overall I find this college great.
It doesn't bother me that this college is located off-campus. It all depends on the kind of people you interact with. I made some amazing friends and connections. Also, the societies are so active that there will be some other event, competition, or seminar happening in college almost daily(so exposure is not a problem). The college has a gurdwara on campus and most celebrations are done in the Punjabi Style, which is fascinating even for Non-Sikhs(no discrimination). There is NSP and Pacific.
The locality sometimes can be a problem. There have been minor incidences of misbehaving outside the college campus with some female students. But the student parties are very responsive in such matters tackling the problems within a day or two. The college is very close to the metro station which is a blessing. The limited options in the canteen is a debatable topic but the food is very affordable and hygienic for sure.
Our college has all basic facilities which are required, wether it's about Classrooms , Wi-Fi Connectivity , well equipped library, Stationery, Canteen, etc. Our College also has ATM within the College.
Curriculum provided by Delhi University is Followed so No major Differences. Apart from Curriculum teacher are well Equipped with there Respective Subjects and provides in-depth Knowledge of it By connecting the topics with Practical scenarios.
Placements of Our college is Above average and is Approving year by year. In year 2021 highest package was of 21.5 lakhs per annum. Where as average one was of 5.5 lakh per annum. Companies like TATA, Mahindra, Big-4's are common now.
Worth it.
Excellent.
Our College is Well equipped with all basic Facilities that a Student wish to have in there College. Fast speed Wi-Fi, smart boards , modernised Library with all updated material. Neat- clean and well Maintained college it is. Apart from infrastructure Food & Snacks in Canteen are too good and college also have a CCD Cafe .
I am Studying Bcom(Prog) and a Second year Student, teachers here are Fully updated with Curriculum and Supportive, Doubts are cleared in Class itself So we need to worry in last Days of Exam. Quality of teaching here at our college is total Excellence.
Placements in our college is too good as Compared to other Colleges around Campus. It's getting better and better only as College placement societies provides all amenities and makes you Job ready too. Average package of our College is near about 6 lakhs in last year.
Totally worth it
Yes I believe, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments… Including Centralised Air Conditioner , High speed Wifi , Fully Updated Library, 3-4 Computer Labs. All sort of hygienic food is available in College… I personally feel like giving 5stars to this college.
I am pursuing Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Course) , and teachers here in our college have immense knowledge. The curriculum is updated on time to time basis with respect to changes provided by Delhi University. The way teacher teaches their subject it provides a practical linkage to accomplish theoretical excellence.
The quality of placement in our college is unmatchable in comparison with other colleges… About 70-80% students get placed with an average package of 5.5LPA and the highest package of last year was 21.5LPA.In comparison with other courses that college offer students pursuing Bcom/Bcom (H) get more placed.
College infrastructure is just Top notch as our College is the most recent one among all in Du, having all basic amenities required, modernised library, Full time Wi-Fi available having a decent speed, well maintained Washrooms, having an Exuberant Sports ground as well. Coming upon Food at Canteen you can get all basic Starters, some main Course items as well that are made with proper Hygiene.
Teachers in our college are Very helping in nature we get our all Doubts clear in Class itself, Quality of Content provided by the teachers in class is Unmatchable, as they relate the topics with Readings mentioned in curriculum, PPT, Charts and Presentations are also provided. They also Take time to time Tests in the class to Make sure we are ready for upcoming exams.
Placements in the college are improving on year to year basis. Almost 75% candidates who Sit for placements get There Jobs. In past many First -Class companies has come to our college like Big-4's, TCS, Chegg, Byju's etc. When it comes to Highest Salary package last year it was 21.5 lakh and the Average package is of 5 lakh.
Being an Second year Student this College has given me immense opportunities when it comes to Self - grooming, public speaking, academic knowledge and unmatchable exposure when it comes to making new Friends, achieving academic accolades etc.
Good college with lot of facilities available and the infrastructure of college is too big with an gurdwara also that is great and there is facility for the outstation students to stay in the pg. living spaces are too clean and the food of canteen is very delicious and hygenic
I am studying post graduate diploma in International marketing and the course is too good but this is one year course only .the faculty of college is also good and they are experienced in their field And it correctly follow the du guidelines
The placements for this particular course is not good like there is no on campus placement we have to get placements off campus but for under grad course placements ware excellent but I am pursuing this course so there is no such placement
This is a short course so it is obviously value for money and it costs me only 60 k . Like I have done my post graduation in international marketing it is time and money worthy so anyone can think about the course .
Campus is too big and there is lot of space to enjoy with your friends and there is lot of societies in college like Bhangra, education and awareness societies . And the dean and faculty of college is too supportive. The location of college is too convenient and it is near to metro station and it can handle emergency also if there any.
I have very good experience and learned lot of things in this college and make new friends. One can think about this college while taking admission in du . Too big and lot of greenery. There is too much space for parking also outside the college .
