Sri Kailash Women’s College, Salem is one of the leading women’s colleges in Tamil Nadu founded in the year 2015 which provides education at high level. Said to affiliate itself to the University, this college is based in Periyeri on the Salem to Chennai National Highway; it occupies 5 acres of land. The institution provides twenty-three course across eight degree programmes for the 3,209 young, motivated women. The college continues to boast of a student-teacher ratio through having a teaching staff population of 116 professionals as members of the faculty.

Sri Kailash Women’s College has provided all types of programmes in under graduation as well as post graduation. There are seventeen undergraduate courses offered and six postgraduate courses which are all day programmes. The college offers academic programmes in multiple fields namely, Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management. For instance, in the college, as per the information of the academic year, 2022, the total enrollment of the numbers of students was confirmed at 2,738 of which 2,526 were in undergraduate courses and the rest 212 in postgraduate courses. This diverse the environment of academic specialisations provides students with great opportunities to select a number of specialisations to achieve successful careers in their chosen areas.

Sri Kailash Women’s College follows the policies of non-ribbed and merit base form of admission. Though, the dates to write these exams are not stated, it can be assumed that the college takes into account performance in the qualifying exams for the admission to certain programmes. The importance of women’s education is engraved in the institution through the 100% female students both at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. Remarkably, every enrolled student is from the state and this exhibits a strong market capture which is within the state. In terms of enrolment status, 92% of the students are however, in undergraduate and only 8 percent of the learners in postgraduate levels.
