Sri Krishna College of Education, Arakkonam, was set up in the year 2006 and is one of the more acknowledged institutions that are being focused towards the future of education. This co-educational college is situated in Tamil Nadu, India, and offers programmes of teaching specialisations. The college is located on a campus of 2 acres and is an affiliated institution that is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college has a total enrolment capacity of 382 students and employs 36 faculty members, which leaves the college with a rather small and selective group of learners. The institute offers two full-time programmes including Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.).

Sri Krishna College of Education has many amenities intended to facilitate learning and all-round development of the learners. Sri Krishna College of Education has a total of two courses, all of which are of full-time duration. The B.Ed. programme has received approval on an intake capacity of one hundred for the first year, while the M.Ed. programme has been given fifty intakes. These programmes are intended to prepare students for college and careers in teaching and educational administration. These two programmes form the core specialisation area of the college and are improving the quality of teacher training.

Sri Krishna College of Education follows a merit system for admission as per the guidelines of the state government, the UT administration, and the affiliated university. Regarding the B.Ed. programme, entries are provided for admission based on marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test of the institute. Likewise, the M.Ed. programme has selection criteria based on the candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination and entrance test.
