Sri Lakshmi College of Education; Jayankondam Institution was established in the year 2006 located at Ariyalur of Tamil Nadu is one of the leading educational institutions in teacher training courses. This is a co-educational college; it is a constituent college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Currently located on a 1-acre piece of land, the college only has two degree specialization areas in education. Thus, Sri Lakshmi College of Education has a small number of enrollment and faculty members, There are 271 students in total and 21 faculty members. Through its B.Ed and M.Ed programmes the institution is preparing professional teachers to meet the growing demands of the school system.
