Sri Poornaprajna Evening College, a premier institution was established in the year 1966 under the Poornaprajna Education Society at Udupi of Karnataka State. This affiliated college, accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), has been education the minds for over 50 years. Located in a 6.5 acre piece of land, the college provides a suitable atmosphere for learning. The institution has a total strength of 642 students and the faculty comprises of 26 members; so, the rational stands tall at 24:1 which is highly favorable for our students and for delivering quality education.

The college has several magnificent infrastructure that are in one way they help to improve on the learning process. The library with new acquisitions of over 4,000 volumes over the last five years alone, is a resource centre for the students with an eleven thousand286 volumes collection of books and rising. The Poornaprajna Auditorium, which has a sitting capacity of 1200, is used for conducting cultural, as well as academic programs. 

The college is well equipped with athletic sports and physical facility needs and the gym is fully equipped. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and that facilitates not only internet connectivity but the carrying out of effective communication. A spacious canteen with a seating capacity of 108 provide commodity-rate-nutritious food of different reliabilities. The college has also hostels for male and female students from other districts to enable them stay in the college.

Sri Poornaprajna Evening College has the following full-time course: The institution currently provides three degree programs: B.Com/Bachelor of Commerce, BA/Bachelor of Arts, M Com/Master of Commerce. The B.Com and BA courses take three years to complete; the M.Com course takes two years. These courses are intended to provide students with adequate academic content and professional training with a view to ensuring that they secure challenging job markets in their respective disciplines. The total intake of the college in terms of courses and students stands at 642 and the college has ensure that it enrolls optimum strength per section to ensure effective teaching and learning process prevails.
