Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences and Hospital Bangalore, founded in the year 1991, is a dental college situated at Cholanagar, R.T. Nagar Post, Bangalore. This affiliated college has recognition in NAAC and permission from the Dental Council of India (DCI). With its ten-acre campus, a wide array of dental programmes available. The college offers a conducive environment for learning; the college enrolments are 407 students, while faculty members are 149. The institute provides 9 courses in 2 different degree levels and is focused on different fields of dentistry. The student body is diverse, with a notable gender ratio of 1:4 in favour of female students, 81% being female students.

It has all the best apparatus, which can cater for students’ needs to enable them to achieve their goals in the college. Girls and boys have the privilege of living in hostel facilities available within school compounds, complete with two hostels each capable of accommodating 300 students. These hostels provide different groups of rooms, three-share, twin-share, and single-share accommodations, and other facilities are a television lounge, indoor games, a yoga room, a meditation hall, etc. Medical facility: Health center with first aid Convenient: Well-equipped library Sports facility: Basketball, badminton, volleyball courts. Football, cricket and athletic facilities off college premises are also available and the transport facilities of the college are provided for these purposes. 

Computerised facilities enjoyed by the college are one computerised lab with 30 updated systems, an Internet connection, and printing options. An integrated wireless system also implies that all departments of the university, hostels, and recreational areas are well connected. Other facilities are canteen, seminar hall, and college bus facility for daily commute to other places.

It provides diversified dental curricula and therapeutic services at Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences and Hospital. One undergraduate programme namely BDS, and 8 postgraduate programmes namely MDS programmes in different specialities, are offered by the institute. The BDS programme has 100 seats, and each of the MDS programs has 3 seats. 

The MDS specialisations are Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Periodontology, Oral Pathology, and Microbiology. There are no part-time programmes at all; all courses are designed to provide students with a full-time dental education.

The entry requirements of Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences and Hospital are competitive, and they are educated by various authorities. a. Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences has all the essential infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for comprehensive dental education and practice. b. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and basic facilities, ensuring an effective learning environment. The pre-clinical and clinical laboratories are well-maintained and have advanced instruments for dental procedures and research. The library offers a wide range of books, journals, and e-resources. The college also has a fully functional dental hospital that provides excellent clinical exposure. c. Hostel facilities are available with clean living spaces, and the food in the mess is hygienic and reasonably good in quality and variety.

They have been improving on labs and equipment's kept in labs, otherwise the building the mess and cafeteria are good. The playing area and playground is also good. And library is also nice, has a good collection of books.
