Bachelor of Dental Surgery is five years full-time course offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and approved by DCI.

The undergraduate dental program leading to BDS Degree shall be of 4(four) academic years, with 240 teaching days in each academic year, plus a one-year rotating internship in a dental college. Every candidate will be required, after passing the final BDS Examination, to undergo a one-year rotating internship in a dental college. The internship shall be compulsory and BDS Degree shall be granted after completion of a one-year Internship.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Qualification:

Candidates should have passed the 2nd PUC/12th Grade Examination or equivalent examination, comprising the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) with English as language and obtained a minimum of 50% in the aggregate marks of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (40% in the case of SC/ST of the Karnataka State).
Candidate should also have a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together at the competitive entrance examination where such examinations are held for selection (40% in the case of SC/ST of the Karnataka State).

2. Age requirement: Candidate shall complete the age of 17 years as of 31st December of the year in which the admission is sought.

3. The candidate shall qualify in the NEET with the requisite percentile score as notified by the Dental Council of India by its BDS revised regulation.

Admission Details

Admissions to the first-year BDS course shall be made within the sanctioned intake.
All students seeking admission to the BDS Course shall also appear in the National Entrance Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted by the CBSE in the relevant year of admission and obtain the requisite percentile as notified by the Dental Council of India. The application form for NEET shall be made available in the CBSE web portal expected in the month of the calendar year.

a. Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences has all the essential infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for comprehensive dental education and practice. b. The classrooms are equipped with projectors and basic facilities, ensuring an effective learning environment. The pre-clinical and clinical laboratories are well-maintained and have advanced instruments for dental procedures and research. The library offers a wide range of books, journals, and e-resources. The college also has a fully functional dental hospital that provides excellent clinical exposure. c. Hostel facilities are available with clean living spaces, and the food in the mess is hygienic and reasonably good in quality and variety.

College Infrastructure

They have been improving on labs and equipment's kept in labs, otherwise the building the mess and cafeteria are good. The playing area and playground is also good. And library is also nice, has a good collection of books.
