About Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women, Coimbatore
Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for women (SRCW) started in the year 1991, is a leading women’s college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This NAAC accredited affiliated college offers 27 courses cutting across nine degree programs. Covering a campus area of about 4.Ninety nine acres, the SRCW has total enrollment of 1947 students and 81 faculty members. The college is well-known for being specialized in arts and science, especially for computer science and commerce.
SRCW offers a range of up-to-date facilities that would enable improvement of student’s learning facility. College library is fully equipped and updated with new editions of textbooks, journals, newspapers and skills for efficient use of internet sources for college business. The campus includes modern computer laboratories with the number of computers 288 and available internet connection. For sports lovers there is indoor and outdoor games facilities or courts available. College also possesses a fully protected upgraded girls’ hostel with a capacity of more than 400 students and that also contains the facilities like T.V. room, outside play field, safety lockers etc.
Actually it provides nearly all sorts of the programs at undergraduate level and postgraduate level. To be more precise, SRCW offers 27 courses, proving it is interested in every academic field. The private college offers its students a range of well-known courses: B.Com, B.Com Computer Applications, BBA Computer Applications, and Computer Science students with 60 admission spaces.
Further more there is the B.Sc Bio chemistry, B.Sc Micro biology, and different masters as well as doctoral programs such as M.Phil and Ph.D. The total number of students who were enrolled at the University across all courses is 1947 () A huge percentage of these students 91% are pursuing undergraduate studies while the remaining 9% are post graduate students.
