Established in Perambalur of Tamil Nadu state, Sri Ramakrishna College of Education is closely associated with the dream building institutions for the future generation teachers. This co-educational college was started in 2006 and has been incubating teachers for more than a decade and a half. The college occupies a relatively small area of 1.18 acres of land hence providing its students with a conducive learning atmosphere. The institute is academically sizable with a total strength of 395 students and a dedicated faculty of 30, which is way more beneficial than the student teacher ratio as it gives more individual and imparted attention.

As for the practical education, the college offers properly equipped departmental laboratories for students’ practice. ICT Centre has a capacity to include 25 students at a time and provides up to date IT facilities and is opened after classes. Facilitating physical fitness and sports, the college has a gym and sprawling facilities such as football and cricket fields, as well as a playground for hockey and areas for tennis, basketball and more.

Sri Ramakrishna College of Education currently offers one primary course: The focus of this study is on the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. This course is a full time two years course with an approved Intake capacity of one hundred (100) student teachers to ensure that the college gives quality education to as many teachers-in –training as possible. The B.Ed program is meant for giving the students a sound preparation required to practice in the field of education.

The admission to all programs in Sri Ramakrishna College of Education is based on educational merit with or without an entrance test based on marks secured in the qualifying examination. The admission policies of the college are in accordance with the state government, union territory administration and the affiliated university.
