Sri Ramkrishna College of Education at Hooghly West Bengal is a reputed college for teacher education. In the spring of 2012, this co-educational college has been producing future educators for more than ten years. It is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which means that the college follows national standard on teacher training. Located on a 0.92 acre piece of land, the institute affords smaller class size for its two hundred enrolled student population. The college has a total faculty strength of 5 professional teachers who each bring a minimum of 3 years experience in teaching which ensures that students enjoy and receive adequate attention of teachers.

Currently it performs the function of knowledge base as a detention of educational materials and literature for students. This has been developed as a two-year full time program which aims at producing competent teachers for our schools. According to official documents the intended enrolment capacity of the program is fifty students to ensure that it is highly participative. Although graduation data of the latest year is missing, the college has an aggregate student intake capacity of 200, which articulates a designated method to educationists manufacturing every year.

Regarding admissions, Sri Ramkrishna College of Education also follows the merit system, elaborate by the respective state government and the university affiliated to its governing constitution.
