Sri Sadhana Degree College, started in the year 2002, is situated in Jawahar Nagar, Markapur, Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. It is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education and provides a wide catalogue of undergraduate courses. The college is located on a piece of land measuring 0.6 acres and has a total of 1423 students and 25 faculty members. This college offers 10 programmes in total under four degree types, and it is focusing on education, commerce, and science programmes. This college has modern facilities that show its determination with regard to quality college education for students. 

The amenities available at the college are intended to promote the quality of learning within learners. The library is equipped with multiple facilities containing more than one thousand books, research journals, competitive magazines, and periodicals for the student’s necessary materials for their academic needs. The college infrastructure is also well developed, particularly in information technology, with modern laboratories with fifty computer systems, projectors, and LED television screens. All these facilities are not only supplementary to the learning process and the delivered curriculum but at the same time contribute to the formation of the student’s abilities necessary for practical activities in the future profession. 

Sri Sadhana Degree College also has a well-stocked science laboratory to ensure the students perform practical’s in the laboratory effectively. The college offers sports facilities for students who engage in extra activities involving games and bodybuilding, besides having approval for a special auditorium for events like seminars. The campus has a large and smart classroom in order to ensure that student’s environment is effective for learning. In addition, it has separate hostels for boys and girls on four floors; however, there are accommodation facilities for the students. For day scholars, the college provides luxurious buses in order to transport them from town and from different villages. 

Students have an opportunity to be awarded 10 courses that are all full-time and offered at Sri Sadhana Degree College. The college offers combination of B.Sc, B.Com, B.Ed., and D.Ed It is a government-aided college situated in Kakinada. For all other courses, the approved enrolment for all the courses combined is 540 students. All these diverse range of programmes aims to meet each student's academic concentration and career path.

Eligibility criteria at Sri Sadhana Degree College entail the acquisition of admission through use of scores in the qualifying exam. For the B.Ed. programme, student admission is taken according to the marks of qualifying the examination, entrance test, or merit as per the rules and regulations of the state government/UT administration and as per the university norms also.
