Sri Sankara Dental College, Vennecode, is the dental college situated at Akathumuri, Varkala, Kerala established in the year 2006. It has a total of 6 courses for the degree level of undergraduate and postgraduate having courses of dental programmes. At the undergraduate level, the Sri Sankara Dental College provides all the dental programmes that are needed to be offered to the learners. The institute offers 6 full-time courses that are BDS, and seven different specialsations offered under MDS degree. In BDS, the university now has an approved intake of 100 students, while in each of the MDS specialisations there are 2 empty seats. The college is specialised in dental education and their course list consists of MDS in Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Periodontology, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. These programmes are intended to help students acquire the skills and more knowledge as per their specialised chosen dental fields.
