Sri Saradha Institute for Teacher Training College for B.Ed College for Women, Salem, was established in the year 2006, is an institute providing knowledge and skills to young teachers. Situated in Narasingapuram, Attur, Salem, Tamil Nadu, this affiliated college is spread over a 31.7 acres land. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) [Annexure-III) and B Ed the only full time programme of the institute with an approved intake capacity of One hundred students. At the moment, it has 37 students enroled in the college and this is served by 6 members of the faculty, guaranteeing individual attention to learners as well as quality learning.

Sri Saradha Institute for Teacher Training College is endowed with number of infrastructures which are aimed at improving the learning environment of the students. The school has well equipped and resourceful facilities among them are the college library; It has various sections such as books, reference section & magazines & newspapers and the college library opens for 8 hours daily. It has 4857 books, 310 volumes & 2000 titles and 15 National & 5 International magazines. Science laboratory for delivering science experiences is well facilitated along with modernisation as per the syllabi modification of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. For co curricular activities, college has provided an auditorium for events and seminars, sports facilities, gym etc. It also has computer laboratory with more than twenty computers connected to internet, canteen and there is health centre at campus with some first aid facilities for students to make them fit for a holistic development.

Sri Saradha Institute for Teacher Training College offers only one course which is the Bachelor of Education. This course is fully accredited and takes two years to complete and its aims at producing qualified teachers in the country. The programme has an approved capacity of 100 students making it easy for anybody who wants to be a teacher to enrol. The college’s training model and subjects prepare the teaching professional students to be all-round in their field.

Therefore, Sri Saradha Institute for Teacher Training College B.Ed admission criterion is based on marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection forms recognise the standards as set by the state government, the Union Territory administration, and the University.
