Sri Sukhmani Institute of Hospitality and Management, Dera Bassi was set up in year 2008 is an affiliated college situated on National Highway (Chandigarh-Ambala) Punjab, India. Located in a small area of 0.5 acres, the institute aims wide courses in Hospitality, Management and Medical Stream. It has a total of 285 students and has a faculty of 23 allowing it to provide a good student faculty ratio. The college offers under and postgraduate six degree programmes cutting across different fields of specialisation. Being a co-educational institution, the students from all over the place are most welcome which in turn makes the learning atmosphere to be more diverse.

Sri Sukhmani Institute of Hospitality and Management has various facilities that any institution would wish to have today to enable the students achieve their goals. The degree programmes’ fields of study cover a wide ranging cross section that include; hospitality and hotel management, business administration and computer applications, commerce and Medical lab Sciences. Under graduate programmes of the institute are ; BHM&CT, BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons.), and B.Sc. (Medical Lab Science). In postgraduate level, it has M.Sc Medical Lab Sciences. Although the criteria for distribution of seats for each of the above mentioned programmes has not been described in detail, the authorised student intake capacity of the institute is 285.
