Sri Sundareswari College of Education established in the year 2009, located at Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, is an ISO certified institution catering the need of future education. This is co-educational institution that began operation in 2006 and has been preparing teachers for over fifteen years. Placed across a decorated 21 big has area, the college is the right place for the students to gain knowledge and develop themselves. The work of affiliated colleges is regulated by the guidelines of the university to which the college belongs, so the academic level is very high. The college has a reason to be proud that it has received approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Sri Sundareswari College of Education at present is providing two integrated courses in the education arena. Of the B.Ed programme which is a full course offered over two academic years the college has an approved intake capacity of 100 students. For those who would like to proceed their educational qualification the college also offers Master of Education (M.Ed) course which is also a two year full time course and the approved intake capacity is 50 students. They intended to make programmes for fresh graduates as well as experienced educators who want to further update their knowledge. Student intake has been around 300 students in total across its courses and 6 faculty members making the student faculty ratio more manageable to support and offer quality education.

Sri Sundareswari College of Education does not offer any form of admission as the institution encourages merit system since the College is very particular about quality education. For the B.Ed programme , the students are offered admission depending on the percentage of marks scored in the qualifying test or the entrance test. The college also evaluates any other admission process as existing policies of the state government; UT administration and the affiliated university may provide. Likewise for M.Ed college and University Admission to the M.Ed programme is based on candidate’s qualification marks in the qualifying examination or entrance examination or any other norms as prescribed by the University/college. This all inclusive approach plays a good role in ensuring that the college gets the most competent students who are willing and have the passion of taking a teaching post in the future.
