Sri Vatsa College of Education was set up in 2008 and is at Mettamalai, Tamil Nadu. This is a coeducational college to which recognition has been given by the National Council for Teacher Education ( NCTE). Located in a 5.58 acre piece of land the college provides a >niche in teacher training. The college has enrolled 200 students in total and the faculty of the college is of 12 members and thus it can definitely provide a better environment for those who wish to become educators. The college currently only provides one Bachelors’ programme thus the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) a testament to the colleges specialisation in training teachers.

Sri Vatsa College of Education currently offers one full-time course: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program is. This two-year program has an approved intake of 100 students which is actually a measure of the College’s strategy to ensure that it produces quality teachers through focused intakes. The program of B.Ed aims and prepares students to become effective teachers in different educational contexts.
