Sri Vengateswaraa Polytechnic College was started in the year 2007 and it is an affiliated college in Namakkal of Tamil Nadu. The college affiliated with GTU and approved by AICTE; it offers diploma courses in engineering stream. The institute allows an enrolment of 233 students and 50 members of the faculty. The college also covers five diploma courses in many specifications of engineering to meet the needs of technical personnel and engineers. Sri Vengateswaraa Polytechnic College aims at delivering quality technical education so as to build technocrats and professionals of high repute to cater the needs of employing sectors in the field of engineering.

Sri Vengateswaraa Polytechnic College has provision of a number of amenities that are aimed at improving learning achievement and personal growth of the learners. The library is a centre of academics to gain knowledge on specific courses. There are well equipped laboratories and through practical, the students are able to practice what they learn in the classroom. Sports also play an important role in the college and contributes to a good health standard to along with education. Ideal physical facilities aid the realisation of technological advancement among the students. This auditorium also plays a central role in a variety of events such as seminars thus creating active student life. Also, the cafeteria provides aesthetic pleasure to the people in the campus besides being a place for students and other staff breakfast, lunch and snacks which boosts the morale of morale of the people in the campus.

Sri Vengateswaraa Polytechnic College has essentially five diploma courses on offer and all of them are day classes. These courses cut across all engineering fields allowing students to chart their own course depending on their preference. The total approved strength for all the five courses put together is 180, this shows that the college is expandable to meet the gusto of young enthusiasts who wish to pursue engineering. There are various engineering diplomas which are offered in the college such as Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Mechanical engineering intakes 30 students each for all course except for Mechanical Engineering which takes 60 students.
