Sri Venkatachalapathy Polytechnic College situated in Kappiampuliyur, Tamil Nadu was started in 1998. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers diploma courses in a number of fields of engineering. Spread across a 10.5 acre area, the institute enrols 824 students in total and has 63 members on its faculty. The college offers four diploma courses in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication and Civil disciplines. Sri Venkatachalapathy Polytechnic College has a goal of producing qualified engineers that will fit into the society to embrace a professional Mechanical / Automobile Engineering careers.

Sri Venkatachalapathy Polytechnic College has many facilities that can supplement the education of the students in the college. The campus contains only male and female hostels for the students and their capacities are 500 and 300, correspondingly. The facilities available for each hostel include modern gadgets and a neat and clean mess. This centres holds a large stock of reference materials, journals, technical magazines, and online resources for the college. For physical development, The institute has provided various sports facilities involving games such as badminton, kabaddi, volley ball, cricket, athletic etc and the management ensures students & teachers participate willingly. The college also has well equipped information technology facilities available as resources for the students to effectively support their college learning.

Sri Venkatachalapathy Polytechnic College has in total four full time diploma courses that take three years each for completion. It has an approved intake of 450 students for all its programmes offered in the institute. In the programme intake, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering takes the largest number with 240, followed by Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 120, Electronics and Communication Engineering with 60 and Civil Engineering with 30. Our principles ensure that all our courses respond to industry demands with equal appreciation of each field of study.

Sri Venkatachalapathy Polytechnic College is an MBA institution that does not greatly complicate their admission procedures; it is a direct admission through merit. For all the diploma courses admission will be purely on merit of SSLC (10th Standard) Board Examination. This system makes it possible for individuals who have relevant potential to be availed the chance to practice the engineering disciplines of their interest. The Training and Placement Cell of the college is also very active in organising placement camps to help students to achieve their destination. Through on-campus recruitment, it schedules campus interviews, off-campus recruitment, career-guidance to enable the students get jobs suited to their abilities and which they desire. The college has also pride in having good placement record which is a way of supporting the students even after they are through with their examinations.
