Sri Venkateswara College of Education is one of the premier institutions located in Thanjavur, which was started in the year 2007 to build a better tomorrow. This coeducational institution is established in V. M. Krishnamoorthy Nagar, Peravurani, Thanjavur, and the college spreads across a sprawling area of 15 acres of land. At present, the Sri Venkateswara College of Education consists of only one full-time course, which is the Bachelor of Education [B.ED] course. The concept for the B.Ed. programme is to prepare students to become effective teachers for the contemporary educational environment.
