For B.E./B.Tech programs:

• Clear the appropriate entrance examination.
• Register through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process.
• Attend the counseling session based on rank obtained.
• If allotted a seat at SVCET, report to the college for document verification and admission confirmation.

For MBA programme:  

1.  TANCET should be written. 
2. Attain a passing mark in TANCET to gain entry into the counseling process. 
3. Be a part of the counseling process conducted by Anna University. 
4. According to the instructions received as a result of selection, make a report to SVCET for the verification of documents and further admission formalities.

For M.E.:

1. The students having a valid GATE scorecard can apply directly to the college. 
2. For the other students who do not have GATE scores, they must write the CEETA-PG entrance exam. 
3. Apply to SVCET with the entrance exam scorecard. 
4. Attend counseling or interview as per the college's schedule. 
5. Submission of required documents and fee payment completes the admission process for the selected candidates.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.E./B.Tech: Various B.E. and B.Tech programs are offered in Computer Science and Engineering; Electronics and Communication Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Civil Engineering; Artificial Intelligence and Data Science; Computer Science and Business Systems in SVCET. Admission is strictly via academic qualification and relevant examination performance. There are a total of 330 seats available for the B.E./B.Tech programs.

MBA: The MBA program at SVCET weighs in at a total of 60 seats. Admission is thereby through counseling based on TANCET scores. Candidates must appear for TANCET and qualify with the required score to be eligible for the counseling process.

M.E.: The college provides M.E. courses in Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Design, and Structural Engineering. Each program has 18 seats available for intake. Admissions are done on the basis of valid GATE scores or through the CEETA-PG examination, depending on particular program requirements.
