Sri Vijayabharathi College of Education, Throvagunta: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

An institution of higher learning Sri Vijayabharathi College of Education started in the year of 2016 at Throvagunta Village, Ongole Mandal, Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh. This is a co-educational college affiliated to the University and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college has two full-time courses in education with a total student strength of 240 and with 32 faculties. Sri Vijayabharathi College of Education provides courses for a teacher training and prepare professionals for a successful teaching career. 

The college has various amenities which may help students in their pursuits within as well as outside the classroom. The library remains an important resource with a collection of 4500 books of B.ED and D.ED courses with 900 reference books and computerized books search. To support practical applicability of academic lessons in the workplaces, departmental laboratories are provided where students can exercise skills. Sri Vijayabharathi College of Education offers two full-time courses: Bachelors in Education, B. Ed and Diploma in Elementary Education. Each program takes a period of two years and each has an approved capacity of one hundred students making them two hundred seats per year. These need to equip the students for career in teaching at different levels of learning. Teacher education is one of the main strands of the college, and this speaks volumes in developing the right talents in the region. 

The admission to Sri Vijayabharathi College of Education does not require any entrance examination the admission is merit based. The admissions for both B.Ed and D.El.Ed are made meritorious on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination and/ or entrance test. The college also takes into account any other mode of selection as provided by the policy of the state government or UT administration.
