Sri Yerabaka Krishna Reddy and Kousalayamma Government Degree College, Nellore affiliated college was established in the year 2008. This co-educational school is situated in Kovur Town of Nellore district and the school occupies 5 acres of land. The college teaches 7 courses in 3 programs of study serving 273 students. The college also has a small teaching team of twelve committed full-time teachers, which makes the student to teacher ratio in our college is lower.

This college has a variety of learning amenities that may be used to improve the teaching/learning process of the learners. A library that has many sources of different type is considered to be useful source of knowledge; students are to get access to as many books and materials as possible. Labs by departments are rather useful since they actually enable learners to practice what is in theory. The college has committed to great information technology resources so that students are ready for a technological society. For the lovers of sports and fitness, it offers sports amenities to ensure that it gives the learners balanced education where they combine books with their bodies. 

YKRGDC offers seven full time programmes in total with four major disciplines of Commerce, Science, Management and Education. These include the following programmes of study, the B.Com, B.Sc with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology options, and the B.A History, Economics and political Science options. The college also provides self financing courses like B.Com in Computer Applications and BA in History, Economics and Functional Telugu taking into account the students’ employability to enable customers choose a course of their preference.
