The SRS College of Engineering and Technology (SRSCET), started in 2009, is one of the leading institutions in Salem, Tamil Nadu. This is a co-educational institute offering engineering education, located in a vast area of 10 acres of land. SRSCET currently has three full-time Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programmes, which IT College admits students from different schools. Currently, the college has 33 students with 27 devoted and experienced teaching staff, which enables the college to have a good student-teacher ratio to ensure every student gets the necessary personal attention and directions given to him/her.
Besides the classroom facilities, the college has great endowed facilities that supplement students learning. Students are provided the best laboratory equipment so that they can enhance their practical knowledge for different engineering specialisations. SRS College of Engineering and Technology (SRSCET), which is situated in the city of Salem in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, ranks among the finest engineering institutions in the state, the college instituted a rigorous admission process aimed at selecting students who are committed and competent to pursue engineering studies. Normally, admissions at the SRSCET occur in tune with the Tamil Nadu academic calendar and start from May-June for the academic year commencing in August-September. The curricula offered by the college as undergraduate engineering courses are the three full-time Bachelor's degree programs in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Admissions will depend on observed performance of the candidate in competitive common entrance examinations, and most importantly in the combined score attained at the 10+2 schooling level with emphasis given to mathematics and physics.
B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering: The Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree at SRSCET trains increasing numbers of professional engineers in the area. Consideration for admission is based upon the candidate's performance in respective entrance examinations and their academic background, with reference to physics and mathematics.
B.E. Mechanical Engineering: The Mechanical Engineering program at SRSCET is designed to provide the basic grooming to students in the area of Mechanical Systems and Manufacturing. The admissions process in this program gives higher preference to the entrance examinations score and 10-2 results in maths and physics of the student.
