SSM College of Education, Rohtak: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

SSM College of Education, Rohtak was established in the year 2008 as affiliated college at Makroli Khurad, Rohtak, Haryana. The institute, accredited by NCTE, imparts specialised education. Located on a compact 1 acre campus, this college has a total enrolment of 100 students and a faculty strength of 2.  

The institute provides students with every facility so that they can develop and grow properly in their academics as well as in their personal life. One of the most main attractions is a fully equipped and furnished library that functions as a knowledge hub, supplemented with a vast and varied collection of books, e-resources, and audio-visual materials. Separately, there are laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, while another is for Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Language. A state-of-the-art high-tech facility like a Robotics Lab is available to encourage skills related to interdisciplinary problem-solving. Other facilities include a cafeteria, medical room, sports facilities, gymnasium, and IT infrastructure to support learning.

SSM College of Education has two major courses in the Education domain. The Bachelor of Education and the Diploma in Education are both two-year full-time courses. The B.Ed. course has a sanctioned intake of students of 100. These courses have been introduced to help orient the students toward acquiring sufficient skills and knowledge needed for making a successful teaching career at this level. 

The merit-based admission at SSM College of Education is conducted by considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The admission policy followed in the college is regulated according to the state government policy of Haryana and the affiliated university. In the case of B.Ed., selection shall be made by taking into consideration the academic performance and entrance test scores, if any, properly maintained through a comprehensive process. The admission process to the D.Ed course is also merit-based and as per the rules prescribed by the state government and educational authorities.
