The infrastructure is quite basic no facilities like smart board's or wifi that could be used by students..also no lift facilities are provided for the students which make it quite hectic for students to reach their respective classes. The computer lab also is basic no softwares like Photoshop or illustrator that are required in our course exists.
The self financed department of mass media is really good with a well experienced and skilled head of department along with a team from the industry it self who guides us with our academics keeping in mind the need for exposure to the fields and providing with suitable opportunities.
The placements are less as compared to the other colleges and hardly only 1 from every department gets selected so based on that you can understand the kind of opportunities we recieve. However the faculty for the mass media department provides a good amount of of opportunities for work and internships.
I would talk about the course in particular but there are many additional charges which are levied that are of no use and has not be utilised through out the course
Support staff is great the gymnasium and sports room is where people spend much of their free time along with the library.
The spaces are clean , there are various books in the libraries but sometimes BA is not given a lot of attention compared to the other courses . Infrastructure of the college is okay ? The canteen has variety of food.
The quality of teaching is great. The professors are damn helpful but I think some particular developments in the subject should be done , it might help as the field is in demand. The studies taught might help me in my future career .
I haven’t inquired yet about the placements but I don’t think we get placed from our college after graduation. Atleast my course :) I’ve spoken to some of my seniors and they have never mentioned about the college giving us placements, I might be wrong , I’m not so sure about this.
The money’s worth , I pay 7-8k per year , the money increases or decreases depending on the year.
There are way too many activities in our college , the campus life is really good everyone is supportive and the location is perfect and safe too. All important places are 20 mins away or 10 mins away from the college.
The college has a really big campus allowing students to socialise and at the same time, be by themselves. The washrooms, GCR, sports room, court, auditorium are always equipped with everything that’s needed and is also always clean.
It strikes a great balance between practical and theoretical knowledge allowing students to get a gist of the outside world as well. Given my course, the former has been extremely helpful for me to discover multiple pathways. The professors are from the media industry which allow greater and deeper insight for the students
Not all courses have placements and given my course, I’m not much aware of the placements that visit college for other courses. But there is a placement cell where you can gain more information about the same
The same course is slightly expensive in other colleges. Moreover, it is transparent about it’s expenses.
It’s been the best few years of my life. The college has given me extremely fond memories and a family for lifetime thanks to Mosaic (the annual intercollegiate festival).
It’s one of the best colleges the city has and I would also recommend it to parents and students alike.
It has all the necessary facilities that a student would need around them to study in. The campus does include a library , a basketball court and a gymkhana. The overall campus is clean including the canteen which provides hygienic and tasty food.
I’m currently pursuing my BA in Mass Media and Communication. The quality of teaching is quite unique in St.Andrews, they not only teach what is given as per the syllabus but also bring in life experiences to class and also include us in various activities that helps us understand about a specific topic more.
Students do get placed. Placements are all based on how you portray yourself and be yourself during the interview. The college name does matter but after that it’s how you prepare and go for it which makes you earn your package.
Yes it does. It's not the best, but close. ThThe canteen is tiny but hygienic. However there are cats everywhere for some reason. The classrooms in the bms building are very clean and there is ample of light.
The quality of teaching is good enough. But I'm not sure if the teaching makes us job ready. Because most of what we learn is theotical and can't be applied in the real world. But there are additional sessions and courses offered to help us get there.
The placements given by our college are good. They put in a lot of effort to give us good placements. Many companies from various fields are invited to offer the students a chance at a placement. These companies are often MNC's that offer various facilities to the students incase a placement is acquired.
My course costs about 20k per year and according to that I am definitely getting my moneys worth because our HOD ggoes out of the way to keep many sessions and stuff in general that increases our knowledge
Our campus, though not bad, is very tiny. However the auditorium is one of the best in the city. It is on a league of its own.
I've grown to love this college with all its flaws.
College has the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment a student should be looking for. It has its own labs, a nice library, and a gymkhana for both girls a the boys. we also have our own basketball court and a huge auditorium for cultural activities and events. The canteen I also pretty hygienic and serves the best maggi
The quality of teaching is quite up to the mark. Its interactive and engaging for both students and the teachers. The college also offers extra curricular subjects and courses for one to hone and master the skills they wish to learn.
the quality of placements are top notch and the process is quite smooth. roughly about 80-90% of the students are placed. Quite unsure about the salary package and the avg salary as it goes unannounced sometimes. The placement does a really good job for what they do.
its the way of life brother.
No spaces for students to rendezvous at and converse. No accessible gender neutral facilities. Classrooms have white boards and projectors. Rather traditional classroom setup. Has an Auditorium. Unhygienic canteen area and also inaccessible. Fans dont work in the canteen half the time.
I just got done with my BA EnglishLit. and Psychology. Excellent literature department professors. Mumbai university could do with better curriculums. No one studying under Mumbai university is job ready on their own.
Pretty good companies the class has managed to pair up with. Around 10% of students were placed. Mostly Finance students get placed with higher paying jobs. The process is quite straightforward and the college has assisted throughout.
<5000₹ for my course. Definitely! The teaching staff is quite good along with extra curricular encouraging students, with financial backing from college to some extent.
No place to hang around. However sports facilities available to play. Basket ball court and volleyball court for open use. Great students, staff and non teaching staff. Great clubs and cells to join. Very safe location, residential area, also close to a hospital.
I've had some of the best 5 years of my life here. 10/10 would reccomend. You'll leave here with quite eventful memories.
The campus is quite spaceous. But students should be allowed to use the lift especially for the forth floor. The liabray is really good for studying. The food is also good in the canteen. It's a good college overall.
I'm currently studying bbi. N the faculty is good and approachable. N definitely what I'm studying will make me job ready in future. Some teachers are strict and some are fun. But it's all how you perform cuz that's the thing that will decide your future.
The placements offered are quite good. I'm still not a graduate so I don't really know what the process is like and how much salary is offered. But I'm a medium to my class to send updates on internships and certificate courses.
I paid nearly 22,000 for my course. And I feel it's too overpriced cuz my course has almost the same syllabus as the b.com and bms have. I feel the faculty should make learning more fun by encouraging to participate in different things.
The campus is quite spaceous. There are plants and trees near the borders of the campus. The location is also amazing where there's not much noise.
The college has all facilities available, I.e. a big library, a gym, basketball court, etc. that is available for all students to use. The classroom are well maintained with a projector and speaker in each classroom
I’m studying BMS with a major in marketing, because I want to pursue something in the field of marketing. The teachers are highly knowledgeable about the subjects they teach. Although the syllabus is a bit outdated, but since it comes from the Mumbai University, the college can’t do anything about that.
I did not sit for placements, so I have no knowledge on the matter. But as far as I have heard, placements from St. Andrews are decent because the college has its own established placement cell that releases updates on a regular basis
The course was a mere 15,000-20,000 per year. It is definitely value for money as education is one of the largest part of a family’s expenses nowadays.
Campus life was amazing because of the various college events and festivals that took place on a regular basis. It located in the heart of Bandra making it very accessible, and close to the railway station as well.
Decent infrastructure, not something that would stand out from other colleges. Average classrooms, however good canteen and building. There is nothing outstanding about the college infrastructure in any way.
Quality of teach is restricted to the professor's comfort zone. Will make students slog for nothing just to show that they are superior, however when explaining concepts, pretty good. Professors will give you tons of projects for minimum marks. It's almost as if you're in the industrial revolution where you had to work double shifts for minimum wages. It's mentally traumatizing.
Placements depend on availability here in this college, they don't see whether your career line matches the job, highest salary package was 5000 inr. No information is shared whether other classmates have gotten help regarding placements.
26000 inr, no I didn't feel it was my money's worth but it was cheap compared to other colleges so it's okay
Students are only encouraged to attend lectures and nothing else. They give the false sense of encouraging extra curricular activities but in reality people who take part in that are pestered by the professors
As long as you strand lectures and stay off the radar in this college you are safe. The moment someone notices your presence, they make your life hell.
