A good place to expand your skills

    College Infrastructure

The college equipment is decent, the library is great if you like reading or want study material. However if you want to learn how to use design software which may be included in the syllabus the computers cannot run these programs.

    Academics

The faculty at St Andrew's College is great, they are passionate about teaching the students. Most of the faculty is also from the industry, so you get first hand experience on the industry. This also varies on which course you are interested in.

    Placements

Placement for various courses are available through the placement cell in the college. Although some courses like Bachelor of Mass Media lack direct placements you can approach some of the faculty who will guide you in the right direction.

    Value for Money

The college fees are dependent on what course you end up taking, but overall reasonable. The courses are split into two, the aided and non aided courses. Most of the aided courses are much cheaper compared to the non aided

    Campus Life

Campus life is decent, there are fests and competitions that you can participate in and win for your college. A lot of extra-curricular activities are there quite often. The size of the campus is not big like other colleges but is adequate.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a great infrastructure! There are many classroom which are very clean and the library is super big. The canteen is also very clean and the food is very tasty! The rest of the property around the college is also very clean

    Academics

I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in arts. The teachers are very supportive and they help us whenever the students need help or have to solve doubts. The teachers are all upto date on the topics they are teaching!

    Placements

The placements in the college are very good. There are alot of companies that come on campus to offer jobs. The percentage of students who get placed are moderately high and the placements don't depend on which course the students are from. Anyone can apply

    Value for Money

There is value of money. As a matter of fact self-financed courses tend to pay a little more than the other courses but obviously the facilities are the same for everyone and they all get the same treatment regardless of their fees

    Campus Life

Campus Life is super fun! Everyone enjoys a lot and there are also many eateries around the college. The college is located in a safe area and it can handle emergencies. As a matter of fact there are two hospitals near the college itself.

    Others

On a whole I really love my college! Over the past three years I've got to learn a lot and gain new experiences that I don't think I would have gained from any other college! I have also made a group of friends who are really supportive and are there for me whenever I need them!

    Academics

I'm currently pursuing business management studies . I feel the curriculum should be updated according to the recent trends and happenings globally . The teachers provide us with a lot of guidance and support

    Placements

Haven't contacted the placement cell yet. But I do believe that they give great opportunities for placements . With contacts from graduated students ,the average salary would be ranging between 3000- 10000. Our college is very supportive .

    Academics

It's is not an autonomous college, so the curriculum depends completely on the university. But the faculty is excellent. The quality of teaching is completely up to date. The faculty of our college not only make us learn the syllabus but also teach us everything about the corporate world which absolutely makes us job ready.

    Placements

We've heard of many final year students getting good placements in good companies. It's difficult for first year students to answer about the quality of placements as it offered more to final year students.

    Value for Money

The money is completely worth is because in my course we are taught that well and given all the possible knowledge too. We are taught about everything that is required once we step into the corporate world which proves that you money is valued.

    Campus Life

Campus Life is the best. Students as well as teachers are easily approachable. It is very safe too and it's one of the best colleges for sports. Being a student friendly campus it is very possible for us to handle any kind of emergency.

    Others

I'd totally suggest my college to others because we were even awarded the best college award.

My college hosts all, if not most of the infrastructure required by all courses. It does host all of the infrastructure required by my course. It isn't the latest up date but it is good enough to get the work done

    Academics

In my course we deal with a lot of up to date studies. Our co-ordinator manages to get professionals from the business for our lectures which gives us a lot more in dept knowledge of our course. Which makes it easier for us .

    Placements

I still have some time to get my placement but from what little I do know, our college is one with a high reputation so various companies hire our students. Many celebrities have also studied from our college.

    Others

The faculty and staff is very friendly and understanding, they will also go beyond their responsibilities to get the job done.

    College Infrastructure

Yes, my college has most of the facilities and equipments. In classrooms we have smart boards, we have a sports centre, an auditorium, library, basketball court, football turf, we have a clean canteen that abides with health guidelines

    Academics

Currently studying Psychology and History. Because I find both these subjects really interesting. Although I have more interest in Psychology only because my love for human behaviour and my love for neuropsychology. The teaching method is really great, and the portion is relatable to our present world. And yes my interest in psychology makes me job ready.

    Placements

My college is known for streams in Commerce, BMS,etc so normally we have jobs related to finance, banking ,insurance, etc. But good reputated companies do offer placements to students from my college with an average salary of 15K per month for a fresher.

    Value for Money

My course was around 10K a year and compared to other universities this was really reasonable

    Campus Life

The campus was big and we would have surprise flashmobs weeks before college fest, we have a big basket ball court where we have alot of events held there. The students were mainly catholics who were really friendly. The faculty of the college is great. The location of the college lies in the Queen of the Suburbs *Bandra* where we would see a number of stars pass by in their luxurious cars. We have 2 hospitals next to our college. Overall it's been a wonderful journey in this college!

    College Infrastructure

The building looks and is old. The canteen food and area is poorly maintained. Almost every classroom has a projector. Wifi is not directly available to students which is a major necessity for someone studying mass media.

    Academics

I'm studying mass media because i want to get in the field of advertisement. The quality of teaching is pretty good. The teachers put in quite the effort for the benefit of students. Yes, the curriculum is updated and included recent developments in the field.

    Placements

The placement cell in St Andrews in known for providing good jobs and a variety of jobs for the students studying. However the placement cell (jobs) are only made available toThird year students before they graduate.

    Value for Money

It costs around 20k. It's a decent amount for the quality for services we're provided. Although the college doesn't fund our department for various inter College fests, we chip in for the necessities and have an enjoyable time.

    Campus Life

The campus isn't that big, no much place to sit and chat in the open other than the classroom, or the canteen which is always full. Many activities are organised by the college's pr team from time to time and several workshops are conducted.

    Others

It's a good college with a decent staff and infrastructure. It may not give you all the features you're looking for but overall, it's a lovely college.

The BMS section of St. Andrew's is in another part of the campus. The classrooms have all the necessary materials like white boards, projectors, etc. The college campus is also very clean and hygienic.

    Academics

The faculty of St. Andrew's is very good. They are highly experienced in their field and impart good knowledge. They make sure we understand everything and are always there to solve all our difficulties and problems.

    Placements

St. Andrew's has a good placement cell. The BMS section has a variety of jobs to choose from in the finance as well as other sector's. The teachers also help us in choosing appropriate jobs, so that we don't regret our choices in the future.

One of the best in Mumbai, if not the best.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

My college has one of the best infrastructure as its got a huge canteen, library, Science labs, computer labs, football grounds, turf parks, a basketball ground, indoor games like table tennis, etc. The classes could improve a bit as they're slightly dull.

    Academics

The teaching faculty is one of the best in Mumbai. Here at St. Andrews the teaching faculty takes time out and puts loads of efforts to make sure students do their best. The professors teach at a level that students can understand the matter clearly.

    Placements

My college has a placement cell, however I did not make use of this facility. Each stream gets different job opportunities and they can apply for whichever jobs they feel are suitable for them. Many students are now working with big companies after applying through the placement cell.

    Value for Money

The course was government aided but still cost me about Rs. 8000 per year. The receipt included a few entries that were somewhat unnecessary but were a compulsion. The college could definitely improve on value for money.

    Campus Life

The campus is really huge and has space to accommodate hundreds of students at the same time for events, etc. Almost all sports facilities are made available and one can never forget they're days at this college campus.

    Others

The best part about the college is that not only does the faculty prepare you for the exams only but also prepare you to face the world, how to apply for jobs and how to groom and speak during interviews.

Have a question related to St Andrew's College of Arts Science and Commerce, Mumbai ?

    Hello Student,
The lecture timings for FYJC (First Year Junior College) and SYJC (Second Year Junior College) in science courses can vary depending on the specific college. Typically, classes run between 7 AM to 1 PM or 8 AM to 2 PM, but this can change based on the college schedule, extracurricular activities, and any extra coaching for entrance exams like the CET.

As for pressure in a CET college, it can be demanding for science students due to the need to balance regular studies with entrance exam preparations like MHT-CET, JEE, and NEET. The focus on covering both the board syllabus and entrance exam preparation creates a high workload. However, the intensity of pressure also depends on how well-organized a student is and the type of support provided by the college in managing both aspects.

Hope this information helps. All the best!
