There are labs here, and they are open throughout the college hours with a proper internet facility. Classrooms are huge enough and have projectors and even air-conditioners on the top floors. Overall, our college is kept clean. There is a medical room, which is open throughout the college hours. The canteen serves good quality food and has a huge sitting area. There is a Table tennis , carrom and chess boards along with volleyball and basketball courts.

    Academics

Teaching quality in our college is excellent. All the teachers are very good, helpful and knowledgeable. They're always ready to help and solve our problems. The course curriculum is good and it makes students industry-ready but according to the current situation due to covid, it's fine. In this college semester exams are difficult because it is autonomous.

    Placements

The placement team is trying hard to provide us the best. They started us training from the third year. They managed to get a lot of companies. The highest salary package offered is around 10 LPA, and the average salary package offered is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Around 80-90% of students got internships with the help of teachers and placement teams.

They provide good opportunities for internships.

    Placements

Almost 80% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 16 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.25 LPA. Top recruitment is from TCS. Nearly, about 30% of students got placed in TCS. Analyst and technical roles are offered. The placement head is good support and fights for us, understands the problems, and solves them. College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is fine. Classrooms are big and nice. First-year students have air-conditioners in their classrooms. There is no shortage of computer labs. All the computer labs have air-conditioners. Computers are not bad and all of them have internet access. There is Wi-Fi in computer labs. Library is fine with reference books. There are sports facilities like a basketball court, a place for volleyball, football, etc.

    Academics

Teachers are fine and very good. Few teachers genuinely care whether students are understanding and learning what is being taught. Most of the teachers are very knowledgeable about and are easy to approach. All the teachers are always ready to solve your doubts. Some of the teachers are not so knowledge about what they teach.

    Placements

Placement cell is good. They keep bringing in as many companies as they can, throughout the final year. Most people get placed atleast in one company. Few people are still trying for better placements. Last year the highest salary package was 18 LPA. There are lot of recruiters like Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, TCS, Hexaware, LTI, etc. Placement cell is very helpful and in-charge Wilson sir is always ready to help with doubts.

College focus on Technical Skill Development

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Every classroom has a projector, a whiteboard, blackboard and comfortable benches. Wi-Fi is available in the library and computer labs. The library has air-conditioning installed recently. The canteen is quite clean and offers good food at low prices. The college has a football ground, a basketball court and adequate space to carry out various sports activities. We have a gym in our college.

    Academics

The teachers are well versed in their syllabus and portions. The teaching quality is great, and they provide you with the required study materials through Google classroom and other platforms. Semester exams are quite easy to ace if you have both practical and theoretical understanding of what was taught in class. You understand it first in class and then apply it during practicals to grasp the concept better.

    Placements

The top recruiting and most consistent companies in St. Francis are TCS, L&T, Infosys and Ugam. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA and 7 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was approximately 12 LPA. 135 people appeared for placements, out of which 71 got placed in TCS and 25 got placed in L&T.

    College Infrastructure

The facilities provided include almost everything a student need. The library is big enough to provide books for all the students so that you don't have to worry about buying books and all. There's also free wi-fi in library so you could go anytime and do all your research.

    Academics

The teachers are not that good at teaching but if you have any doubt you can surely approach any teacher and they would clear your doubts. They are qualified but maybe they aren't that good at handling the class. The difficult of passing the semister is high if I'm being honest.

    Placements

The highest salary package offered off campus is 42 LPA and the average salary package is 5 LPA. More than 600 placement offers were provided this year in which more than 160 students got placed with a salary package of 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Mass recruiting company is TCS.

Not a great college if you are looking to build your profile

    College Infrastructure

The college has below average infrastructure. The classrooms are too long and insufficient for a class of 60. People sitting at last benches cannot hear the professor. The gym is not functional since its inception.

    Academics

You are on your own. There is no help from the faculty. They will not just see you drowning they will make sure you drown. Some faculties like Poonam Hemnani are unprofessional and hold personal egoes against 17 year old kids.

    Placements

Be ready to find the placement off the campus since lot of companies have blacklisted SFIT including mine. Because they do not get the kind of human resource they would get from other engineering colleges.

    Value for Money

Its a waste of money not just for me but for most of the students who have graduated from this college.

    Campus Life

I made really good friends and lifetime connections at this college and this was the best part and only one thing I gained. The college is poor on extra curricular activities with zero support from college management.

Great college, if no better option available.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

College has every infrastructure required and also more. Some of it are bound to restrictive use which makes it 'not open to every need'. There's usually a rush for many of the structural facilities such as Xerox room and stationary room and canteen which impacts the overall experience and student choose to go out of the college to make up for this stuff.

    Academics

Many of the Professors are outstanding and have a deep knowledge about the subject. Also guidance is provided no matter how trivial the question or situation. It's also Naac and Nba accredited, which means the standard curriculum is best for the currect students

    Placements

Placement is bound to recieved by almost every student. Might take time but till the end of the final exams and even after the exams placements keep on going, companies keep on visiting the campus. Though the average package being 5LPA many secure 7-9LPA

    Value for Money

As per the pay the facilities and the ease to use these facilities doesn't sum up. And also many of the facilities are restricted and time bound. Hence it creates a hindrance and student usually tend to not use them and reply on external facilities.

    Campus Life

Great campus life. Events step up every year with new and exciting groove.

    Others

Overall a very happening college. It's worth to take admission if no better options available.

Hi sir,I have received SFIT in the first round of mht cet. Should I try for Thakur college or select sfit in round 1. PLS HELP

    Dear aspirant,
I suggest you to try thakur college of engineering. Since it's round 1 float the seat that you've received. Try round 2 see the trends and then decide. If you are trying for CMPN then I suggest wait till round 3 sometimes it's hard to get CMPN .
If it's IT EXTC mechanical then you will get thakur in round 2 provided the seat you've got in round 1 isn't Christian minority seat.
    All the best

Hi sir, I would like to know is Sfit vary strict in attendance?

    Dear aspirant,
Yes it is true. Sfit is the strictest college when it comes to attendance and submission on time. The first year faculty is headed by Poonam ma'am who's very strict regarding attendance and have also stopped student from getting promoted due to low attendance.
Even arriving 2 mins late to the 8 am lecture can cause to be marked absent. She has also issued a letter stating that anyone entering 9 am lecture at 9.01 am will be marked absent and parents will be called after seizing the student id card twice in a month and trust me she has done it before.
The first year faculty in sfit is good but very strict just like a school.
But then again I'll say don't get discouraged just because it's strict. The 2nd & 3rd year will be a bit easier .
