Good infrastructure, much improved now compared to 2022.Management is constantly making improvements by taking reviews. They are even doing terrace gardening and lots of improvements were done recently like seatings in canteen etc
Academics is average, can be improved by conducting some classes outside. With practical exposures etc But the faculties are very highly knowledgeable and supportive and friendly, and very approachable .
Placements depends on year basis. For us placements were a struggle. But the companies which come are all Big 4’s and top companies with decent package. But the number of students chosen per company is 2-3 mostly , only few take more no of students making it challenging for the students.
Its enough, but not good enough. Mad location though, you are in the centre of Bangalore. Everything is near by. The classes are well equipped with high end AV system. Got a well functioning library .
Alright i guess, nothing spectacular. Good exposure from faculty. Industry experienced professor provide more insight than Harvard Graduated faculties. Thats the bitter truth. “To know the truth, you need to get to the ground, have the smell, and that dirt in you hand”
Okay i guess, well salaries are the bribes they pay you to forget your dreams. If one requires a job then you shall fare well in this college. But if you seek something worthwhile for your own benefit. Now thats a challenge.
Nah
No culture as such
Nah
College infrastructure so very pleasing and peaceful It has all the necessary equipments needed for a b.school The Library is lovely and beautiful They have beautiful basketball court in front of the college building and a badminton court right center of the building like a quadrangle
In terms of the course quality, its a 10 There are highly experienced faculties which is ready for any help and very supportive to all kind of extracurricular activities The course in terms of academical weight it is not a college who like to pressure the students Very updated curriculum
Placements are there but not as much as needed Most of the students are getting job by their own job hunts, There are good companies coming for placement drive. But its a very competitive circle champs Avg package is around 7lpa
The fees for the two year course is 8.8L(2023) for me As compared to other business schools it is better But still i’m still not convinced of the course is worth the price They have dual specialisation which is not offered by most of the colleges
If you want to enjoy your 2 years of PGDM I would definitely recommend SJIM College is in right in middle MG road bangalore which is a Hotspot. College council conducts intracollege sports tournaments every year called Josephites Premier league which is very interesting
My honest opinion If you want to be an entrepreneur this is the place you should go Not recommended for a corporate career seeking peeps Because this college will make you ready for doing everything on your own
The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The facilities in our classrooms, laboratories, libraries, sports centres and hostels are well maintained which is very much nice.
The quality of teaching and studying is very much in the college. In college the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. This study makes us job ready and it is very much effective for the students.
The quality of replacements at our college is not nice. Percentage of students are placed is around 20 percentage which is not a good percentage for the college. The placement process is unknown to me
The College has the necessary facilities - well equipped classrooms, vibrant library, computer lab, access to business reviews and reports from Harvard and CRISIL, sports room, gym, Table tennis court, badminton court and basketball court. The canteen service is also good.
The quality of teaching is high as faculty are experienced academicians and many have industry experience of over 2 decades. The curriculum apart from lectures contains conclaves with industry experts, seminars, student club activities, presentations based on HBR and CRISIL reports.
The college provides good placements in the range of 6LPA - 15 LPA. The highest package offered last year was 22LPA. Almost 100% students are placed. The top companies who hire are Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, IDFC Bank, Lodha Group, Lawand Group, CCD, etc. The college also tries to provide internship opportuntites for all.
The course fees is INR 840000 which is decent for this level and provides a decent ROI.
SJIM has state of the art infrastructure with WIFI accessible throughout the campus, smart classroom, computer lab with more than 80 computers ,library with more than 20000 books for all the domains. Students are given access to many database such as EBSCO,CRISIL and many more. The campus is well sanitized ,the food provided by the canteen is cost friendly.
I have taken PGDM and pursuing my majors in Operations and Finance .The syllabus and subjects are updated every year according to recent trends. The end term exams are mostly application based. The term GPA at SJIM is the cumulative total of assignment, attendance, end term and mid term marks. The professors are well versed with industry experience and lectures are conducted with active discussions.
The placement is quite good at SJIM. The placement for the current year that is 2022 is going very well with more than 70% already placed . The highest package for the year 2022 is 22 Lakhs and the lowest is 5.5 Lakhs. The average package this year is 7 to 7.5 Lakhs. Some of top and frequent recruiters are Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, TCS, Accenture, Reliance and many more. The college provides pre-placement training.
The course fees for PGDM is Rs.8,00,000/-, which is to be paid in four instalments, two instalments each year. For students in top 10 rank, merit scholarship is awarded.
The students of SJIM are from diverse background. College events such as Pinnacle (intra-college B-fest), Verve (Inter-college B-fest) , Conclaves for different domains like operations, finance, marketing, E-cell and HR, International conference, and JPL (Sports league) are some of the major events/fests of SJIM giving students numerous opportunities to take leadership roles when organizing them. The best part of SJIM is its teachers and support staff, they are very helpful and approachable.
SJIM has all the necessary as well as modernized technologies that are used in most institutions these days. Well-maintained labs and facilities are the main highlights. The canteen is neat and every cook is well maintained.
I am presently studying PGDM at the institute with a dual specialization in Finance and Marketing. These courses especially have some of the highly qualified and knowledgable faculty members with years of experience. The curriculum is up to date with real-life case studies which prepares everyone for the corporate world.
The placements are the main attraction of this course at SJIM. Ranging from the big four to many start-ups with different range of income levels with an average of 7.5 lakhs is what the college offers. The highest salary package offered for this batch is 21.2 Lakhs for marketing.
The course cost Rs. 400000 per annum. Academics and placements wise this is quite worth it because of the placements that are guaranteed and also the amenities that are provided for it.
College campus is always the best. Unfortunately being the Covid batch had its own disadvantages but definitely, the time on campus spent was all well. There are many fests and clubs that students can be a part of and showcase all their knowledge and talent.
The college has facilities such as Wi- fi, smart boards, lab, library and hostel. They are all well maintained and used on a regular basis. The canteen food is tasty and hygienic and the infrastructure is good.
The quality of education is good as the faculty are well qualified and have been graduated from some of the top colleges such as IIM and have industry experience. The lecture are very interactive with a lot of real time examples and case studies being discussed.
The college has had a placement record of 98% students being placed with the highest package being 22 lakhs per annum. The average salary package is 7 to 7.5 lakhs. Some of the top recruiting firm is Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Bosch, etc.
The course fee for the PGDM program is 415000. I feel its worth it as the facilities the college provides are good. The tools that the facilities use for lectures make learning more easy and they help us develop our skills in some of the basic requirements for the job.
The college has more than good infrastructure. Classrooms have speakers with mics, elevated floorboard for better visibility. The computer lab is well equipped with air conditioning. Wifi is available at moderate speeds, sufficient for student assignments. The college facilities are clean and well maintained. Student bodies address any littering, and inform students.
I'm studying in the PGDM program and am looking to specialize in Marketing and Operations. The faculties are highly skilled and base their course outline in a more application based approach. The use a number of case studies to improve students' awareness and knowledge. Furthermore, presentations are conducted by students on topics that are related to current business matters.
The placements are highly successful with over 98% of students being placed in the previous year. Internships are also provided but our given a little lesser importance. The highest salary package for the previous year was 22 lakhs per annum (not sure of course). The average salary was 7 to 7.5 lakhs per annum. The placements process is relatively easy, due to use of a platform (Superset). There is a student placements coordinator who is medium between college, placement coordinator and students
It cost 4,15,000 per year. Fees can be paid in 2 installments in a year. In my opinion it is slightly higher, particularly due to online class held for around 3 months. Scholarships are provided for General Merit, Christian students with specified parentage and low income family scholarships.
Similar to the other Jesuit institutions, St. Joseph's Institute of Management has the best campus life. Students are encouraged to focus on all aspects of college such as business fests, sports, community service and many more. Seminars are conducted which teach students more application based lessons. Students also are given responsibilities such as organizing fests, drives such as blood donation drives, recycle drives, sharing belongings with others and so on. Teachers are fully supportive.
I've always respected the Jesuit way of teaching as they focus on making men and women, not only in terms of academics but as a person as well. Being a Josephite is a brand that one can carry forwards throughout their life. The need to support your fellow students and community is something that I admire and hope to continue throughout my life. SJIM teaches students on how to grow in life together rather than by themselves!
The infrastructure is without doubt excellent. All of the classrooms are equipped with state of the art teaching aids. The library is one of the college's most beautiful structures and books of all genres are available. For their research and assignments, students can use online databases from all over the world. Students also have free access to a variety of business magazines as well as important business databases like CRISIL and Capitaline etc. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus.
Through its rigorous course, the college provides ample opportunities to learn and bond with some of the best minds in the world. Faculty on hand are among the best in their fields and ensure that students are industry ready. Curriculum is typically updated on a regular basis as per the industry norms. In additions, there are other activities like the college fests (Verve & Pinnacle) that provides enough opportunities for personal growth.
Because of the high quality of students and the effectiveness of the placement procedure, placements at SJIM have always been around 100%. Last year alone, 98.5% of students were offered packages ranging from 5.5 to 22 lakhs, with 7 lakhs being the average. Students also received paid internships, with highest being Morgan Stanley's offer if 50,000.
The fees at SJIM are comparable to the other top B-Schools in the country and comes around 8,30,000 for two years. That said, the learnings and the experience that the institute offers cannot be compared in monetary terms. Its definitely worth the time and money.
Scenic campus, with great sport culture and other extracurricular opportunities. You can pursue your hobbies, hone your skills and get involved in several clubs to get a holistic experience.
Overall doing PGDM from SJIM is an enriching experience.
Greetings!!
