    Extraordinary college for management

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The symbiosis college has gym and sports department in addition with the management department . The hostel is there with the ac facility and attached wash rooms . The food is great and medical facilities also provided to the students by the college itself .

    Academics

The faculty is well qualified and the experts in their academic stream . The teaching methodology and quality is well good . The semester examinations are but tough , but they are easy to pass if we study atleast one by fourth of the syllabus .

    Placements

The college is average in the campus placements at the time of my study , which is years ago . At that time only job opportunities are provided to the students not the internships or any technical projects .

    College Infrastructure

All the facilities are available in college. We have Wi-Fi, well-equipped classrooms, and a library. Sometimes eating at mess becomes boring but they maintain a good quality of food for students. Each facility is available on the campus, and it's more of a second home to people here at SIMS.

    Academics

Our college has some really good faculty members for a few subjects. Although our college employs many faculty members, the teaching quality doesn't really seem to be satisfactory. However, teachers are friendly, qualified and have good command over their subjects. Guest faculty members of Symbiosis are also an additional benefit.

    Placements

From our seniors, I heard that around 90% of the batch got placed with a maximum salary package of 16 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered was of 9 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, Google, Infosys, Credit Suisse, etc., come for placements, and some students get PPO as well. The overall placements are pretty good.

    College Infrastructure

The college has a defense environment as it private-public entity and we have good infrastructure which is ample. The hostel is average and the smartboard Wi-Fi facilities are available in the classroom.

    Academics

I am currently pursuing an MBA in marketing from SIMS. The 1 st Sem is basically a combination of all the specializations which gives a n exposure to all domains and helps to choose a specialization and the facilities are really well versed and helpful.

    Placements

The placement is average and the highest package is 19 -21lac. Mostly dependent on the market condition. Marketing specialization is mostly placed in banking, insurance and FMCG sector and in good companies.

    Value for Money

As being a defense dependent, the total fee is about 15 lac, but for the non-dependents, almost 21 lac, and the average package is around 12-13 lac. And getting into symbiosis is always worthy and a lifetime achievement.

    Campus Life

It's very safe in the college. There are a lot of on-campus programs that make students active and engaging. There is a good repo with the students and activities that make a healthy environment. If there are actions are taken.any emergencies, sudden

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is okay. It can definitely be better. The progress is extremely slow. I hope they insert more water coolers in each floor which they have not despite of realising the need for it again and again.

    Academics

The teachers are extremely talented However the emphasis on academic marks is unnecessary Practical aspect is missing I liked the syllabus But it feels like there is not space or time for creativity.

    Placements

Not good for all streams Good for finance and marketing Hr and ops is still struggling It can try to contact the companies where the aluminus are not present in order to tap new possibilities but it does not reach out to companies where the aluminus are not present.

The campus may not be that big as compared to other Symbiosis college but this college gives a homely feel. As this is a residential college, hostel is compulsory. The best part about this college is that it is well equipped and the maintenance is high.

    Academics

The course is extensive but the faculty helps you through it. They are really professional and kind at the same time. You will never hesitate to ask them questions as they will make you feel comfortable. A lot of courses and competitions are provided outside the given course to help you develop yourself personally and professionally as well.

    Placements

This college may not be known to people much due to less marketing but this college has one of the best recruiters with a good packages to kickstart your career. The placement cell pays attention to each student and guides them through the entire process.

    Value for Money

Personally, this college has given me the ROI that I needed. My fees is 14 L for two years but not only did I get placed in a good company but also I found the right set of people who will help me grow and evolve in life.

    Campus Life

The campus life was amazingly beautiful.Since it was a hostel inside the campus, me and my friends used to spend the entire day together, and as all the necessary facilities were provided, we never felt unsatisfied.

    Great & amazing

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is overall good it has basic facilities which can be enhanced. A great college should have a library which should have comfortable space and good reading facilities it has it all though the sports facilities are not up to the mark.

    Academics

The curriculum is neatly designed without any bogusness, which initiates critical and lateral thinking. it mainly focuses on sharpening the brain of student by providing them with practical knowledge rather than theorotical.

    Placements

ROI is decent, and AVG can range up 10L. Though the median can be different because of the outliers but in totality, everyone is placed and is happy by the end of their placement drive which ultimately matters.

    Campus Life

One word to describe that is = Amazing

Well-equipped classrooms, dedicated sports area, swimming pool, gym, yoga and aerobics centre, etc. Okayish canteen though the location compensates for it, good munching spots nearby... RATNA - A must try restaurant

    Academics

Good and experienced faculties, both in-house and visiting. Good scope to learn from experienced resources. Frequent talks and lectures organized at the campus delivered by industry experts visiting from all across.

    Placements

Decent offers keeping in mind the RoI factor. Before you join, do an analysis of the companies coming for placements (you can get that info on the official website). Average package is around 9+ LPA. Good for freshers.

    Campus Life

Amazing location, very engaging curriculum, various clubs and cells which you can be a part of, frequent competitions and other co-curricular activities

I wished for a college like this

    College Infrastructure

The college is ergonomically based to sustain the campus as well as provide a space for co-curriculars. The living spaces are hygienic. A strict safety and cleanliness procedure is followed. The college offers all facilities you possibly could imagine.

    Academics

I am doing my MBA in human resources as I believe the workforce of an organisation is what forms it or breaks it. I want to understand the forces which stimulate them. The quality of teaching is a mixed bag. There are some phenomenal teachers and then there are some who are good but not that great. The curriculum is constantly updated to fit the external business environment needs

    Placements

The quality of placements at the college had always been good. Though affected by the current situation most of us still have our internships which goes to show the extra step the placement cell would go to help students.

    Value for Money

The course costed 10 laks overall. I feel I am getting my moneys worth because of the extensive effort put in by the admin to provide a platform for holistic situation.

    Campus Life

The campus is one of the most engaging campuses. There exists various clubs and cells to engage you all year. Asides from that every major sport courts and fields are available.

Have a question related to SIMS Pune ?

My father is in B.S.F is it possible to get into SIMS pune through defence quota? I recentely checked there website they only show army, airforce and navy.

    Hello,

SIMS Pune, known for its defense quota, primarily lists the Army, Air Force, and Navy on its website. However, since your father is in the Border Security Force (BSF), it's worth directly contacting the admissions office at SIMS Pune for clarification. Policies and quotas can sometimes change or have specific provisions not always reflected online. Explain your situation, and they can provide accurate information on whether BSF personnel's children are eligible for any special consideration or quota.

    Hope it helps !

how do i rank hims, sims ,mims medical Colleges in Karnataka

    Hy,

Ranking medical colleges like HIMS (Hampi Institute of Medical Sciences), SIMS (Sri Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences), and MIMS (Mysore Institute of Medical Sciences) in Karnataka involves considering various factors. Here’s a structured approach to ranking these institutions:

    1. Accreditation and Affiliation:

    • Check Accreditation: Verify if the colleges are recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
    • Affiliation: Look into their affiliations with universities and their status of recognition.

    2. Infrastructure and Facilities:

    • Campus Facilities: Evaluate the infrastructure, including hospital facilities, laboratories, libraries, and other amenities.
    • Clinical Exposure: Assess the quality of clinical exposure and hands-on training provided by the affiliated hospitals.

    3. Faculty:

    • Faculty Qualifications: Review the qualifications and experience of the faculty members.
    • Teaching Quality: Consider the student-to-faculty ratio and the quality of teaching.

    4. Academic Performance:

    • Exam Results: Look at the performance of students in exams and their success rates.
    • Research and Publications: Consider the research output and publications of the faculty and students.

    5. Placement and Internship Opportunities:

    • Internships: Assess the quality and scope of internship opportunities.
    • Placement Record: Look into the placement records and job opportunities for graduates.

    6. Student Reviews and Feedback:

    • Student Experience: Read reviews and feedback from current students and alumni to get insights into their experiences.
    • Alumni Success: Check the career trajectories and achievements of alumni.

    7. Rankings and Recognition:

    • National and State Rankings: Refer to national and state rankings of medical colleges published by reliable sources.
    • Awards and Recognition: Consider any awards or recognitions received by the institutions.

    8. Location and Accessibility:

    • Proximity: Evaluate the location in terms of accessibility and convenience.
    • Living Conditions: Consider the living conditions and cost of living in the area.

    9. Fees and Financial Aid:

    • Tuition Fees: Compare the fee structures and any available financial aid or scholarships.

    10. Hospital Affiliation:

    • Associated Hospitals: The quality and reputation of the hospitals associated with the medical college can significantly impact the quality of clinical training.

Ranking medical colleges like HIMS (Hampi Institute of Medical Sciences), SIMS (Sri Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences), and MIMS (Mysore Institute of Medical Sciences) in Karnataka can be subjective and varies based on specific criteria and personal priorities. However, I can provide a general assessment based on common factors such as infrastructure, faculty, clinical exposure, and overall reputation.

    1. Mysore Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS)

    Strengths:

    • Established Reputation: MIMS has a long-standing reputation and is well-regarded in Karnataka.
    • Affiliated Hospitals: The college is affiliated with good hospitals, providing quality clinical exposure.
    • Infrastructure: Generally, MIMS is known for its decent infrastructure and facilities.

    Considerations:

    • Ranking: It often ranks higher compared to some newer institutions due to its established reputation and consistent performance.

    2. Sri Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS)

    Strengths:

    • Quality of Education: SIMS has a good reputation for its medical education and training.
    • Affiliation: Affiliated with the Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education, which provides a strong academic framework.
    • Clinical Training: Good clinical exposure through associated hospitals.

    Considerations:

    • Ranking: While respected, SIMS may not have the same long-standing reputation as MIMS but is still considered a strong contender in Karnataka.

    3. Hampi Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS)

    Strengths:

    • Newer Institution: As a relatively newer institution, HIMS may offer modern facilities and approaches.
    • Emerging Reputation: HIMS is working on building its reputation and may offer competitive programs.

    Considerations:

    • Ranking: Being newer, it might not have as established a reputation as MIMS or SIMS, but it could be an emerging choice with modern facilities.

    Overall Assessment:

    1. MYSORE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (MIMS)
    2. SRI SIDDHARTHA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (SIMS)
    3. HAMPI INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (HIMS)
