St. Monica Junior College of Education is one of the oldest and renowned independent junior colleges of Maharashtra which was founded in the year 1910 inAhmednagar. This NCTE accredited institution is the place where dreams of future educators are turned into reality after over a century. A compact campus of 4.95 acres makes the college is conducive to learning for all the students, it has limited space. The college provides quality education with total enrolment of 108 students and total faculty strength of 8 students, which results into low student-teacher ratio.

The physical structures  at St. Monica Junior College of Education are fully equipped to enhance the student’s academic and individual needs. 

At the moment, St. Monica Junior College of Education has only one main course which is the Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). It is a two year full time program that is intended to equip the students for a teaching practice at the primary level. This college was accorded approval to admit 80 students to this course, and as such demonstrates the college’s capability of producing an adequate number of future educators in a single intake period. The D.El.Ed courses include many aspects of elementary education as well as different structures of teaching practice.
