Being established in the year 2005, St. Xavier Teachers Training College, Jaipur being a part of St.Xavier’s Educational Society affiliated to University of Rajasthan, is the pioneer institution in Rajasthan. Situated in IIRM Rural Campus Phagi this is a co-educational institution where future instructors are prepared. Recognised by National Council for Teacher Education, the college provides a variety of courses in teacher’s training in its 120 acre campus. The total student intake is 385 and the faculty size is 32 which makes the environment for budding teachers very favourable at St. Xavier’s. That a college has embarked on a mission to provide quality education is well illustrated by its variety of programmes and well-equipped facilities.
St.Xavier’s Educational Society has several facilities within and outside the classroom that intends to facilitate delivery of knowledge to.the students. The school boasts itself with a collection of over 9,382 books, eleven magazines, six journals, twelve encyclopedias and various other reference materials ideal for students’ learning. There are three hundred modern computers in the computer centre, of which thirty are exclusively for the faculty training programme. Two well equipped laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, Psychology Laboratory, Education Technology Laboratory are available to make practical. The college also pays lot of attention to the health of the students through provision of such amenities as gym, swimming pool and other sporting fields for football, hockey, basket ball and cricket. For the students who need a place to live in, there are two hostels for boys and girls respectively compounded with qualified wardens.
However, St. Xavier Teachers Training College over the years offers three broad courses in teacher education. These are a two-year full time programme B.ED, four-year full time B.Sc B.ED integrated course and a four-year full time BA B.ED integrated course. The college has a detailed programme called Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) for a total of 100 students intake amid which had received approval. Exact intake under the integrated B.Sc B.Ed and BA B.Ed programmes is not mentioned, yet, these courses are very beneficial in such a manner that students complete their degree in their respective subjects along with the teaching qualification. Each programme includes all courses that are intended solely to be full-time so the students will be able to receive extensive preparation for their further professional activity as teachers.

B.Sc B.Ed: St. Xavier Teachers Training College offers a full-time integrated B.Sc B.Ed course for a duration of four years. This course enables the students to study their B.Sc degree in parallel with a teacher's training certification. The admissions process is also the same as the B.Ed course, given marks in qualifying exam and/or entrance test performance.
BA B.Ed: The college also provides four-year full-time integrated BA B.Ed course. The course permits students to pursue their BA degree and teaching certification. Admission is identical to the B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed courses, depending on merit in the qualifying exam and/or marks in entrance test.
