The Subham College of Education, Madurantakam founded in 2005 is an esteemed centre of learning Endeavour for future generations. This co-educational college is situated in vilvarayanallur, post- madurantakam, district – tami Nadu and the college is built on a total land of 5.08 acres. It is affiliated to one of the universities which make it a recipient of approval from the National Council for Teacher Education-NCTE. Four unique degree programmes are being provided in the institute with a total admission capacity of 295 students and with a team of 15 esteemed faculty members. The College of Education known as Subham College of Education enrol ourselves among those institutions which are dedicated towards producing professionally competent and well faceted teaching professionals through our specialisation in Education only.

They include the following; Sporting facilities, ICT, students’ accommodation, art facilities, food services, performing arts, health and counselling, administration and library services among others. These facilities consist of a library possessing more than 6500 books and journals, reference books, course books, encyclopedias, research tools, and educational journals in English and Tamil. The library also includes a remarkable set of questions which may be important for staff or students. The campus is fully endowed with modern well equipped laboratories to enhance practical exposure to the students in their area of speciality. An auditorium is used in holding events and seminars at the same time, and a canteen provides food for the college members. The institution also deemewith student welfare,comprising offirst-aid facilities found in the health centre. Further, it gives state of the art IT Libraries, in house Gym to maintain physical fitness, and various types of company of sport facilities to endorse a more balanced method of development.

Subham College of Education provide total of four full time courses all can fulfill the needs of today’s educational sector. Two Undergraduate Integrated programs are being offered in this institute – BA B. Ed and B. Sc B. Ed each of four years’ duration and 100 seats. The college simultaneously admits 100 students to a two-year B.Ed programme for those interested in professional teacher training. The 50 students are admitted to the two-year M. Ed programme which is available to aspiring educational leaders. Altogether there are 350 open seats available in the college taking account the various courses offered to ensure that a sufficient number of qualified educators is being produced annually.

Admission policies in Subham College of Education are run based on merit and the policy is very clear. In regard to the admission process, it is followed that the students who have completed their B.Sc and/or B.A are admitted into the B.Ed and M.Ed courses through marks secured in previous qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college also employs any other method of selection as stipulated in the laws of the state government, the U.T. Administration and the University it is affiliated to.
