Subhan Institute of Education & Technology was started in the year 2005, is an affiliated college situated at Sherwani Colony, Khawajabagh, Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. This is a co-educational institution that enjoys being committed to delivering quality education in teacher training. The institute is located in a campus, which occupies an area of 1 acres and provides its students with the needed conditions for learning and development. As for now the college is comprised of 91 students and it faculty includes 9 professional teachers.

Subhan Institute of Education & Technology has claimed itself to be in a position to provide a number of the amenities that focus on the user convenience factor. College library is also a very important facility because it basically offers students a variety of educational resources. For those who would wish to engage in exercises the centre has provisions for sporting activities to carry out exercises. The college also has a good information communication technology that will make students to be connected and with modern technological facilities. Modern laboratories are provided to meet practical experience necessities, and the auditorium is used for various occasions and sessions. It also has great concerns about welfare of students as it has hostels for both male and female students to comfortably live in. Subhan Institute of Education and Technology currently hosts one main course – the Bachelors of Education, or (B.Ed). This is a two years full time course whose primary aim is to produce competent teachers fit to discharge their responsibilities within the teaching fraternity. Although there is no quantity of exact numbers of seats for this programme, the institute has an available capacity to take in total students 91. This has the advantage of enabling the institute to keep offering education with excellent students.faculty ratio.

At Subhan Institute of Education and Technology admission is offered strictly based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and / or entrance examination. The admission policy of the institute is as per the direction of the State Government/U.T. Administration and the affiliated University. Subhan Institute of Education and Technology will also have continued relevance in moulding up the next generation educators throughout Baramulla. Thanks to its specialised programme, effective infrastructures and facilities as well as the dedication towards nurturing quality teachers, the institute aims to practice effective role of shaping competent and skilled teachers in order to positively contribution in the area of education.
