Subharti College of Education and Physical Education, Meerut: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Subharti College of Education and Physical Education, Meerut, was established in the year 2008 as a constituent college to prepare future teachers and to train physical education professionals. This is a co-educational campus located at Subhartipuram, NH-58, Delhi-Haridwar Bypass Road, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The college campus is very big, with an area of 250 acres, approved by NCTE. This college has 35 faculty members offering very diversified courses, 15 in number, to its students under 10 different degree programmes and specialising in education and physical education disciplines. Its commitment to the holistic development of a student is, nevertheless, very obvious in the varieties it has so far offered at all levels, from undergraduate to doctoral programmes. 

The college has a host of modern facilities to provide an added impetus to the learning processes of its students. The campus provides accommodation for 14 hostels, two of which are constructed for NRI hostels with full-time resident wardens for proper management and care. The health-related campus is served by both medical and dental hospitals with facilities for 24-hour emergency services and ambulances. The centrally air-conditioned library serves as the knowledge hub for more than 25,000 books, 150 international journals, 250 national journals, 400 e-journals, and facilities for audiovisual aids and internet facilities. An Olympic-size open stadium, with facilities for games like football, cricket, hockey, handball, lawn tennis, basketball, and indoors, provides solace to the soul of the sports enthusiasts. The various canteens and cafeterias take care of different tastes in food. The entire campus has high-quality IT infrastructure for modern requirements in learning. 

Subharti College of Education and Physical Education spreads a wide spectrum of courses related to that. The institution offers 15 full-time courses: bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programmes. Some prominent courses are B.Ed, B.El.Ed, D.El.Ed, M.Ed, B.P.E.S, B.P.Ed, and M.P.Ed. The intake of students in the college in all its programmes more or less reflects a balance in the numbers, as most of the courses have an intake of 50 each. For instance, in the B.P.E.S course, there are 80 students approved for the intake, while in the M.P.Ed. course, there are 40 students. 

The entire straightforward admission process of the Subharti College of Education and Physical Education is majorly based on merit, except for the few courses, like the B.El.Ed, in which the admissions are done through an entrance examination, which is a must. For most of its courses, including B.Ed, B.El.Ed, and M.Ed, the institute follows admission based on the Subharti National Entrance Test, while to some others on the basis of merit. B.P.E.S and B.P.Ed are admitted based on the result of the Subharti University Entrance Test.
