Subhashanna Kul College of Education is located in Pune and was started in the year 2005, the college is well known for its noble efforts to build the future of education. Having its campus at Madhukarnagar-Patas, Tal-Daund, Dist–Pune it is a co-educational college, which is spread on 10.09 acres of land. NCTE had actually recognized privite college/affiliated college with accreditation and Aided college with approval to maintain quality standard of teacher education. There are three specialized courses taught in the institute and the total intake capacity for all three courses is 165; the institute is staffed by fifteen committed teachers. In order to continue living up to set demands in technological development, the college has a computer laboratory with 20 sets where learners master various IT skills relevant for today’s college education. The subhashanna kul college of education is developed with eight courses to cater different levels of teacher education. The institute provides three full-time programs: There are; Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Diploma in Education (D.Ed), Master of Education (M.Ed). These programmes offer an aggregate of 250 seats; the college guarantees a SNAP between students and their teachers. There are 100 seats for B.Ed and 100 for the D.Ed, as well as 50 seats for the M Ed program so that students get the best of attention in higher pursuits of education.
Admission policy of Subhashanna Kul College of Education involves a theory that enables the college to select qualified candidates with regard to government set rules. For admission to the B.Ed program, the candidates will have to pass in the CET conducted by Government of Maharashtra for the academic year 2010 ~ 2011. The admitting policies only allow merit admission according to the set down rules by the government of the state. To replicate the same, admission process of D.Ed programme also follows the merit system laid down as per Maharashtra state government norms. M Ed entrance is merit based for the marks scored in the qualifying test or examination, entrance test or any other method as per the norms envisaged by the state government, university or UT administration. This keeps the college in a position that it is able to entice and train skilled people in the filed of education. Although being a college the institution also encompasses development of the students on other aspects of life. Students are kept fit and taught good disposition through standard gymnasium and lots of sporting equipment. The campus includes an open area that can be most effectively used for play and other related exercises. Because of a concern to the health of all the people in the college, it has facilities for a health center with first aid kits. The institution also opens facilities such as a canteen for the students and staff, and accommodation for the families of the faculty as well as guests, making it friendly for everyone.
