Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law was established in 1989 and is one of the premier institution for legal education situated at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana. This college for both boys and girls is affiliated with the Osmania University has been shaping the legal brains for the last thirty years. Initially recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), this college provides an array of law courses in a damaged area of just 1 acre. The college was established in 2006 and has a total intake capacity of 360 students and a faculty of 19 members at Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law offers a personalised experience for the students. There are 5 courses in as many programme levels that the college provides to meet different specialisation areas in law.
Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law has several installations that would help the student learn better and improve his/her overall personality. The library which forms an integral part of legal education has an estimated collection of five thousand books in different fields of law and social sciences, journals of national and international reputation. The college has a full-fledged and fully functional Moot Court Hall exclusively for the pragmatic training of the students; the court-like environment of the Moot Court Hall, and especially that of the Supreme Court of India has been recreated meticulously for the benefit of the students of the college. This facility is essential in developing students’ advocacy skills. The college also pays a lot of attention to the health of the students and therefore provides a gymnasium complete with sporting requisites without any charge. Other facilities include ac linic for first aid, game facilities, computerised network, two hygienically run canteens, a large 200-seater seminar room and a shop for stationery products.
In order to meet the student need, Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law has included various areas of law departments to provide opportunity in every field of. There are five full time courses offered in the college out of which 3 courses offered are undergraduate and two courses are postgraduate. The undergraduate courses include the standard 3 year LLB programme and the 5 year integrated programmes including BBA LLB and BA LLB. For those who aim to get even more specialisation, the college has postgraduate two-year LLM programmes in Corporate Law and Constitutional Law. The total approved intake of all the courses is 400 and it was done based on the good student teacher ratio for teaching porter college.
Admission procedure to Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Law is very much competitive and selectivve and is characterised by merit system. For BA LLB, the college admits students based on TS LAWCET scores. This exam is also useful in choosing proper students who will be able to handle legal requirements of the college and institutions.
