Surendra Lal Das Teachers' Training College, Howrah was established in the year 2005. It is one of the finest teacher training colleges in Anandanagar, Nischinda, Bally, Howrah, West Bengal. Co-educational institutional type, the college is affiliated to and accredited by NAAC. The institution is approved by National Council for Teacher Education to offer three specializations of education courses. 

The institution provides all types of facilities for students in order to enrich the learning process. The Campus has separate Boys and Girls Hostels with Reading rooms, Indoor and Outdoor Game facilities, and mess arrangements. A well-equipped library with more than 6500 books consisting of 4394 Text Books, 2318 Reference books, subscribing to 24 magazines, and journals. Practical Training is offered in the college through well-maintained Department-based Special Labs for Methods, Psychology, Science, Education Technology, and Computer Labs. The institution also has an auditorium for various programs and events. Healthy meals are provided through a canteen, while the health centre with first-aid facilities and on-call doctor facility ensures the health of the students. The IT infrastructure comprises 20 computers and 5 laptops, having internet connectivity provided within the entire campus. Surendra Lal Das Teachers' Training College has a total of three full-time courses, all in the field of education. All courses are aimed at completion within a period of two years so that a teacher-to-be gets completely professional training.

Surendra Lal Das Teachers' Training College admits students in its B.Ed. and M.Ed courses as per the proper guideline put forward by WBUTTEPA and NCTE. There is no age bar for admission to the B.Ed and M.Ed courses.
