Surinder Kaur Memorial Teacher Training College was started in the year 2008 in Padampur ,Rajasthan. This is a co-educational college who is an affiliated college of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located on a limited area of one acre of land, the college aims at delivering quality in teacher education. The institute offer education to total number of 194 students while having 16 faculty members therefore the ratio of students per faculty member is reasonable. It is a fully fledged college with only one programme being a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), which is a two years full course.

The college focuses only one programme, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) for training teachers. This is a full time course which has been approved for an intake of one hundred seats and an institute best suited for training teachers. The B.Ed programme focuses on training student for teaching profession by delivering professional knowledge and skills to them.

Admission to the B.Ed programme at Surinder Kaur Memorial Teacher Training College is done through the basis of merit. Ccandidates should have had not less than 50% marks in the Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree and the candidates should be a Science, Social Science or Humanities graduate. Otherwise, candidates who have completed their Bachelors of Engineering/Technology in Science and Mathematics with a base average of 55% are also qualified candidates. The college gives stake to the over-all growth of their students by also fostering participation in different inter-house competitions and other co-curricular activities.
