Sushganga Polytechnic, Yavatmal: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

One of the premier technical institutions in Naigaon, Maharashtra, is Sushganga Polytechnic, Yavatmal, established in 2009. This co-educational institute, spread over 5.53 acres of campus, is an affiliated college approved by AICTE. Having a total student enrolment of 625 and a faculty strength of 41, Sushganga Polytechnic offers a wide variety of diploma programmes in Engineering disciplines. Technical education is the hallmark of this institute, which offers six full-time diploma courses in different specialisations in the field of engineering. 

The institute has numerous facilities to enrich the learning processes of its students. The library is a knowledge hub, and the institute continuously updates it with the latest study materials and reference books to foster the intellectual growth of students. It has department-based laboratories to serve hands-on learning. The campus is fully supported by a modern IT infrastructure serving the technological requirements of the programs offered. Sports facilities and a well-equipped gym are provided for developing the physical fitness of students. Students are also provided with varieties of nutritional and hygienic food through its canteen, which accommodates 30 persons at a time. Sushganga Polytechnic has six full-time diploma courses which are regular programmes. These courses cut across various engineering disciplines, thereby offering the students wide options to pursue their technical interests. The institute thus has an approved total intake of 300 across all its courses, a capacity in nurturing a substantially large pool of aspiring engineers each year. 

The admission process to Sushganga Polytechnic is mainly based on the Centralised Admission Process conducted by the DTE of Maharashtra. Applications from aspiring students have to be made online, through the Centralised Online Admission Process, before the deadlines announced by DTE. This institute follows a systemic admission procedure, wherein 80% of the seats are filled through the CAP, while 20% are reserved for institutional quota admissions. 

 Also, the institute provides an opportunity for direct admission to the second year or third semester, for which application forms have to be submitted to the DTE-designated ARCs.  The institute assists in Freeship and Scholarship concessions offered by the Social Welfare Department for meritorious students under the rules framed by the Government of Maharashtra.
