The college was established in 2000. SITE Balangir is approved by AICTE and is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Cuttack. The college offers diplomas in polytechnic courses in multiple specialisations. Candidates seeking admission must fulfil the eligibility criteria of SITE Balangir and must score at or above the SITE DET cutoff to move further in the admission process. All the courses are offered in fulltime mode. Eligible candidates will then be called by the college for document verification along with other mandatory admission processes at the time of counselling the candidates are requested to carry all the required documents (photocopies along with the original) to get their seats reserved. SITE Balangir has various facilities and infrastructure for the students, faculty, and staff.
