SV Memorial College of Nursing, Amritsar was set up in 1998 to provide education in Nursing in Punjab – INDIA. This is a co-educational college is situated on Batala Road near Verka and it covers an area of 20 acres of land. Currently, the institute provides 3 degree courses for various nursing specialities and 5 specialised courses for 281 students total. 1. Register for the Punjab Para Medical Entrance Examination (PPMET) conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
2. Appear for the PPMET-RN on the scheduled date. 3. After the declaration of results, eligible candidates will be invited to file applications to be considered for joining SV Memorial College of Nursing.
4. Application forms will be submitted together with attested copies of certificates and the application fee.
5. Waiting for the announcement of the merit list published by the college.
6. Such candidates will be admitted along with the document verification process and fee deposit.
For M.Sc Nursing programs:
1. Register for the Punjab M.Sc Nursing Entrance Test (PMNET) conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
2. Appear for the PMNET on the scheduled date.
3. After announcement of results, eligible candidates will be invited to submit their applications at SV Memorial College of Nursing, specializing in their choice (Medical Surgical Nursing or Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing).
4. Application form to be filled along with all requisite documents and the application fee.
5. Wait for the merit list as per the direction of the college.
6. If listed, admitted and carry on with the process of verification of documents and payment of requisite fees.
For GNM Program:
1. Obtain the application form directly from SV Memorial College of Nursing or download it from the college website.
2. Fill in the application form completely and correctly.
3. Submit the completed application form, along with required documents and application fees, to the college.
4. Committee from the college will scrutinize the applications and may conduct interviews, if necessary.
5. Wait for the college to announce the selection list.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Sc Nursing: Admission to the four-year B.Sc Nursing programme shall be on the basis of merit as determined by the Punjab Para Medical Entrance Examination (PPMET), to be conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. The entrance exam tests a candidate's knowledge in pertinent subjects as well as aptitude towards nursing.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: Admission into this 2-year Post Basic B.Sc Nursing program is through an entrance exam conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. This test is particular to registered nurses with the intent of upgrading their qualifications.
M.Sc Nursing: The two MSc graduate programs are Medical Surgical Nursing and Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing. Their selection will consequently be under the Punjab M.Sc Nursing Entrance Test (PMNET) managed by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): Admission into this three-year GNM course is handled differently from the other courses. It directly falls under the purview of the college with a committee of the college which comprises the Principal, Vice-Principal, Senior Tutor, and Nursing Superintendent for the selection process.
