One of the renowned medical institutions, Swami Ramanand Tirth Rural Government Medical College, Ambajogai, was established in the year 1975. The government college has a campus area of 122 acres located in Ambajogai, Maharashtra. SRTRGMC is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The admission process in SRTRGMC is merit-based and follows a standardised format. For admission to MBBS, the admissions are carried out through NEET-UG. For the postgraduates, MD and MS must qualify for the entrance exam, and its results are based on NEET-PG, which is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates. 5. Upload documents as necessary, such as MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, and NEET-PG score card.

Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: The college has 150 seats for the MBBS course. Admission is on the basis of the candidate's NEET-UG merit and through the centralized admission process as per state government guidelines. The candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
MD/MS: SRTRGMC has different MD and MS courses with a total of 79 seats in various specializations. Admissions are done on NEET-PG scores. MD courses are offered by the college in specialties like Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, General Medicine, Microbiology, Paediatrics, Pathology, etc. MS courses are General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics.
Diploma Courses: The institution also provides diploma courses in several medical specialties. Admission to the courses is also through NEET-PG, after which counseling is done.
