Swami Ramanand Tirth Rural Government Medical College (SRTRGMC), Ambajogai. The admission process in the college is strictly merit-based as per national norms for medical education. SRTRGMC provides a number of undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses with entrance through national-level entrance tests mainly.
The admission process of SRTRGMC generally coincides with the national medical admission calendar. For undergraduate courses, the application process generally starts after the declaration of NEET-UG results, which is usually in June-July months. Postgraduate admissions are based on the NEET-PG exam schedule, and counseling is generally conducted in January-February for the May-starting academic year.
Application Process
Application process for SRTRGMC is different for each program:
For MBBS:
1. Qualify NEET-UG with a valid mark.
2. Apply for the state-level counseling process (the details are normally available on the state medical education website).
3. Complete the online application form, furnishing personal information, educational qualifications, and NEET-UG score.
4. Pay the application fee.
5. Upload documents as mentioned in the application instructions.
6. Select SRTRGMC as a preferred college while counseling.
7. In case of being allotted a seat, attend the college for document verification and admission procedure.
For MD/MS and Diploma courses:
1. Pass NEET-PG with a valid score.
2. Apply for All India Quota (AIQ) counseling or state-level counseling as the case may be.
3. Submit online application form for PG admissions.
4. Pay the application fee.
5. Upload documents as necessary, such as MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, and NEET-PG score card.
6. Attend the counseling process and choose SRTRGMC and preferred specialization.
7. If a seat is allocated, finalize the admission process at the college.
Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: The college has 150 seats for the MBBS course. Admission is on the basis of the candidate's NEET-UG merit and through the centralized admission process as per state government guidelines. The candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
MD/MS: SRTRGMC has different MD and MS courses with a total of 79 seats in various specializations. Admissions are done on NEET-PG scores. MD courses are offered by the college in specialties like Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, General Medicine, Microbiology, Paediatrics, Pathology, etc. MS courses are General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics.
Diploma Courses: The institution also provides diploma courses in several medical specialties. Admission to the courses is also through NEET-PG, after which counseling is done.
