Swami Vivekanand College of Education, Patiala, was started in the year 2005 and is an eminent college which aims at building the future education. Situated in Ramnagar near Banur, Tehsil Rajpura, Patiala, Punjab this is a co-educational college under a university and recognised by NCTE. Stretched over an area of 1.12 acres, the college provides three distinct programmes in education for total enrolment of 373 students. The institute has 26 effective faculties thus a good strength of students per teacher ratio which guarantees personal attention and education quality.

Swami Vivekanand College of Education has several amenities which assist in shaping learning environment and in molding the students. One well furnished library centre is indispensable and scientific laboratories are equipped with modern facilities to be the physical touch point. Swami Vivekanand College of Education provide limited number of full time programmes in the specialisation of education. The institute provides three programmes: Bachelors in Education (B. Ed), Masters in Education (M. Ed) and Master of Arts in Education (MA Education). The B.Ed programme on which the foundation of teacher training rests has the approved intake of 100 seats. The M.Ed programme meant for advanced studies in the field of education has 50 available seats. All these programmes are two-year full-time courses, aimed at giving the understanding and practical experience in educational theories and practices.
