Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya, Panna, was established in 2014 in Janakpur, Panna, Madhya Pradesh and is an affiliated college. It is situated in a 2.5 acre area and having approval of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It has four full time programmes in Education: the B.Ed, M.Ed, integrated BA.B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed. The total enrolment capacity of students in this college is 196 having 16 faculties which make the scene suitable for the teaching aspirants.

As a support for its academic programmes and additional services to the students, Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya has available physical structures. In a way, the IT infrastructure allows students to work with current means, technologies needed for teaching in the present. Having complete books in a library is essential when carrying out research or when studying. The college also has subject based laboratories to provide practical lessons and experiences. In the area of disease prevention and recreation students have the access to sports facilitiesThere is a canteen on the campus through which students and staff members can avail a place to relax. Some of the facilities are events and seminars holding auditorium which continue to support active student lives. Besides, there are guest room amenities for the college’s guest faculty and students’ relatives and friends to have a comfortable stay.

Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya, Panna provides a total of four courses which are speciality in teacher education, all of which are full time. The college has total intake capacity of 350 students for admission through all its courses. The number of seats offered in B.Ed and integrated BA B.Ed is hundred each, in B.Sc B.Ed also hundred and in M.Ed fifty seats are offered. These courses are offered to the students interested in making their career in teaching profession and offers a mixture of theory and teaching practices.

There are no cut- off fixed at Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya, Panna for admission as the admission is based on merit, this means that a student is allowed based on the grades obtained in the previous year or those obtained in the entrance tests. This may, however, depend with the policies of the state government, the U.T administration and the affiliated universities. For the B.Ed, BA B.Ed Integrated, and B.Sc B.Ed Integrated, the admission will be made through the merit in the qualifying examination along with entrance test. As with other programmes, admissions to the M.Ed programme are subject to the candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination, entrance examination or any other selection mode prescribed by the governing bodies.
